My friends say I'm too twisted for color TV. Does that count?

GaleHawkins: I am going to assume that you have likely ditched the gluten during this dietary transition (I'm making assumptions since you indicate you eat primarily low carbohydrate?) I found the removal of gluten had a SIGNIFICANT impact on my arthritis pain. If I eat one slice of bread, I can't walk the next day.

How many rest days are you giving yourself inbetween muscle failure reps? My trainer told me if I'm working that muscle again before the pain is gone, then I'm not giving it proper regeneration time. He also told me not to push to failure every time.

So thousands of us are "fantasy"???? ummmmmmkay. (insert an eye roll for visual effect). You go ahead and you stick with your "studies". I'm going to stick with my VERY REAL results. I've been in remission for 5 plus years now. Far better results than my chemotherapy counterparts that were diagnosed at the same time. I'm a…

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble... but I'm one of those that was able to cure my cancer without surgery, without chemo and without radiation, but with a raw vegan diet. It's called gerson therapy... and they have been curing people for over 4 decades with it. The FDA will not allow any natural treatment for cancer in the…

I eat a primarily raw vegan diet and I get my fats from coconut oil, nuts and avocados (plus flax and hemp seeds) I make my cheeses out of raw cashews (I get ALL of my nuts in raw form, and actually order my almonds direct from a grower because any raw almonds purchased in a grocery store, are not raw... they have been…

I agree with the other poster that said detox or food allergy. A week into a raw diet is when detox really kicks into overdrive. Is it only when you physically eat bananas, or when they are in smoothies as well?

I do this one every day: 1 bunch Kale 1 bunch celery 5 cucumbers 4 granny smith apples 1 lemon 1 huge knuckle ginger In my juicers (I have an omega and a breville) I can get 4- 24oz juices out of it. My husband and I both take two a day. I also do a carrot apple ginger once a day as well.

I kind of do the opposite. I tend to eat cooked in the morning and then raw for the remainder of the day (probably because breakfast time is the only time that it's not the surface of the sun in terms of temperature right now.... the last thing I want to do is cook when I get home LOL) Feel free to add me. I was actually…

Feel free to add me. I've been primarily raw vegan for years. I've fallen off the wagon twice now... and I'm looking to get back on for good. I'm tired of my weight yo-yoing and fighting to lose the same pounds I've lost before. I never feel better than when I'm raw vegan. So you'd think it would be a nobrainer :(

Added!

I've been primarily raw/vegan for a few years.... I'll eat that way for months on end, and then fall off the wagon, transition to vegetarian junk foods, then I find myself eating fish again... and then I get fed up and go back to Vegan. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the way I feel when I'm 100% vegan. Like literally, I feel…

Great first step! We are all here to support each other and DO this! You are welcome to friend me and I will provide you as much support as I can! It's always easier when you know you aren't in this alone.

Right there with you sister! This time I'm back with almost 100 to go :(
-
I'll make you a deal.... no texting during football OR hockey and I'm in LOL My daughter plays hockey (has since she was 4) and we are a total sports household. I need to lose a lot more than you, but I'm always up for fun people!

I'm right there with you. I've got close to 100 to lose as well. I swore I'd never be on this path again, but alas... I'm back, only 26 pounds below where I started :(
-
The number of times I've been at this is far too many to count. I wish I knew the answer as to why, I just can't seem to make it stick.

Super proud of you for returning! It's not easy. I'm in the same boat with you. I was down 60, now I'm back up over the nemesis weight I SWORE I would never get back over. I've got close to 100 to shed now.

I started a raw foods diet primarily for health reasons. I had a myriad of diseases running rampant, and then got the diagnosis of breast cancer. I used raw foods to treat the cancer. Within 3 months, it was gone. My oncologist said he'd never seen such results even with chemo and radiation (I did neither... opted out of…

True that! When I eat a 100% raw vegan diet, then eat something that is still vegan, but cooked, my body rebels with all kinds of gastro distress.

I started with a nesco, but the more I got into raw foods, the more space I needed. I got the 9 tray excaliber and I LOVE IT!! I find the temp setting to be much more accurate as well. It's an investment (especially if you need the texflex sheets) but it's worth it.
