  • i like to have the supermarket or weight watchers pre packed versions as lots of those are only around 3-400 cals a pack and you know exactly how much you are getting of everything. also, did you know that 'chinese salt' is just another name for MSG? i only discovered this a few weeks ago. :-( otherwise steamed veg and…
  • hello, although i live in london now i am also originally from surrey and 27 too :-) i know what you mean about yo yo dieting, i am determined to get slim and slender and stay that way this time, before i end up having kids etc and it all goes to pot! :-) x
  • well i find that if i spread my calories out throughout the day i loose more weight and faster than if i save a large percentage for a yummy big dinner, so i would say the best thing for you to do is to eat small healthy breakfast and lunch and maybe a little snack too and try to do more exercise to burn off some more…
  • same here, try not to weight every day but its so hard, so i try to only log my weight once or maybe twice a week. i just like to see how im doing on a day to day basis and try to keep in mind that fluctuations do occur both good and bad and so not to take the daily weights too much to heart either way. good luck, just do…
  • i count every calorie that goes in my mouth, regardless as to what form its in (fruit/veg/salad etc) its the only way to be totally honest with yourself and get a true picture of your calorie in take. good luck x
  • me too! :-) i have just completed my second year undergrad, am enjoying the summer before heading back for my third and final year in sept. i have about ten pounds to loose and they wont budge! :-( i workout between 3-6 days a week (depending on life getting in the way etc) and like to think i eat healthy, i actually went…
  • I'm 5'4"and a half, and my goal weight is 119lbs but would LOVE to be more like 116 but realise its going to be impossible for me to maintain that weight, i got down to 119lb before and looked fab at that weight, i only wish i hadn't then started uni (as a mature student) and stopped tracking my foods and ended up piling a…
  • greek yoghurt (fat free) and honey, YUM! or mini size bag of malteasers, only 99cals :-)
  • i snack on raisins, tinned sweetcorn, fat free greek yoghurt with honey, berries, occaisionally banana chips, water. mostly i try not to snack too much though good luck :-)
  • tonight im having baked chicken breast with rosemary and thyme and jamie oliver lemon and herb crusting, but you can leave that bit out with salad and boiled new potatoes. i like to boil them without salt and then once cooked heat up a pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and some sea salt crystals and then toss the spuds about…
  • Yeah, its the sweat, just make sure you shower after, i use an exfoliating face wash on my back in the shower every day too and a softer one on my face. i also wash my face before working out as well as after because i dont want anything that is sat on my face like dirt or make up to get into it once my pores open up with…
  • i am also on a 12000 cal diet and find the way to stick at it is to drink lots of water, dont waste calories on soft drinks or alcohol, fruit juice is your enemy!! snack on the real deal instead, i snack on raisins, sultanas, dried apple etc, helps get me thru in between meals, dont leave it more than 4hours between meals…
  • Ignore any unsupportive comments, not what you need. Im sure you are appreciative of her help, but are worried about your weight, which is completely understandable. as its a marinade i shouldnt worry too much, hardly anything 'seeps in' so just scrape off what is too much from your portion of chicken when dishing up. if…
  • definitely shaved, well with a teeny tiny little bit of hair in the centre, so we know you are a man and not a boy! :-) but too much hair is a big no no, and definitely not a hairy stomach!! :-)
  • some great points to remember, thanks :-)
  • hi, im from london, feel free to add me too :-) x
  • feel free to check out my food diary too. I am not quite vegetarian ( i eat poultry and fish, but not that often) but a LOT of my diet, expecially over the past two weeks has been vegan. tofu tofu tofu!! also, my OH is vegetarian but allergic to eggs and doesnt like milk, so he eats lots of linda mccartney vegetarian…
  • I'm going to have tofu in a rataouille sauce with roast carrots, shallots and sweet potato, but you could sub the tofu for fish or chicken breast or even turkey. then for desert i'll be having fat free greek yoghurt with a teaspoon of honey and about 80grams of fresh fruit (which i have to cook first as i'm allergic to raw…
  • i like to do it daily so that i can get a good overall picture of my weight, because it can fluctuate so much from hour to hour, let alone day to day, if i only do it weekly then a whole tonne of issues can affect the reading, water, sodium, time of day, full/empty bladder, pmt etc, so i find if i do it daily, then of…
  • agree with the others, listen to your body, maybe have a normal 500-600 cal dinner and then an hour later or so have some desert, like greek yoghurt and honey, or some fruit. thats what i do to keep my calories up as i am also trying to eat only clean, natural, good foods :-) good luck.
  • there are two tricks i have found that stop me from eating junk, the first is to look at the ingredients list, and if it lists anything 10yr old wouldnt understand what it is (ie all those random acids and phosphates and citrates etc) then I dont want to put it in my body, i am basically poisoning myself, and as i learnt…
  • thanks for the support guys, so i stood on the scales this morning and HURRAH i have lost a smidgen of weight (0.2lb) BUT as my scales measure body fat, water, muscle as well as weight, it has now told me that that loss, is muscle not fat!!! :-( GRRRRR why is this?? am I not eating enough calories to build the muscle, OR…
  • I have bought it in tesco's, sainsburys, asda and waitrose. it is there, you just gotta look in the right places. try their whole foods section, healthy foods, free from sections etc. its not usually with rice and other grains even though i use it in place of rice and cous cous.
  • muesli, delicious, healthy, and satisfying, i can work out on a bowl of muesli and not need to eat anything more til lunch time, IF i do need a snack, i snack on raisins and dried apple. YUM! :-) good luck
  • I'M IN!! want to loose 7lb by july 1st, but if i can make it 10 would be over the moon!! :-) x
  • when i had my end of year exams last month im afraid to say that i gave in to those very same cravings, all that mattered to me was ensuring 100% of my concentration was on my exams and doing well so i gave myself a kind of hall pass for the 2 weeks of exams that i was allowed to have a few drinks and eat chocolate as long…
  • ok firstly, your body needs WAY more calories than you are giving it just to survive normally, at the super low amount you are taking in i imagine your body is slowing down almost to a standstil any non vital actions/organs etc. with all that exercise you are doing your body needs calories not only to perform the activitiy…
  • reverse crunches and leg raises, you need to do core exercises that workout your lower abdomen, normal crunches/ sit ups only work your upper half of your abdomen, also, the obvious cardio to burn the fat, coz it doesnt matter how toned your muscles are if they are buried under fat (havent looked at your profile, so not…
  • definitely look at what you are eating, especially as it gets worse throughout the day, i'm the same and i find that if i eat too much gluten or consume too fizzy drinks or alcohol my tummy bulges more and more :-( also, if you do some core exercises, it will help to strengthen your stomach muscles which can then hold in…
