I turn 40 in September. I joined MFP in January with the intention of losing 40 pounds by my birthday.....I've been really struggling these last few months. Have you tried the sandwich thins bread? I sometimes cheat with 1.5 servings of peanut butter but only one piece of bread or use bread with fewer calories.

I was having lots of problems with weekends when I first started. I was doing great during the week but couldn't maintain the intake portion on the weekends. I stopped eating back all of my exercise calories during the week, that way I could go over some on the weekend and still be under for the week.
