@wendsg Thanks for the welcome 👍 @avatiach I tend to average about 12mph on a casual outing so have just multiplied my time by that figure to give approximate distance. I’m a fan of gadgets so have ordered some speed and cadence sensors off Amazon which will hopefully fit the bike on my indoor trainer

Just set my bike up in the turbo trainer in the garage so I’m in. Need to sort some sensors as can only log my time at the moment though. I wasn’t going to bother but this challenge is the perfect excuse for new gadgets 😂 Is there a group or just posting here? 01/01 - 45 mins. - 9 miles 02/01 - 55 mins. - 11 miles

Been forever coming back to MFP but my motivation always peters out. Going to try and stick to it this year and make sure I put me, myself and I before work. Hopefully no more finishing at 20:00 and cramming in a rubbish tea because I’m knackered! January Start Weight: 204.4 January Goal Weight: 197 Ultimate Goal Weight:…

What an awesome idea! Always struggle with throwing food away as it’s so wasteful even though what’s left from Christmas is exactly the reason I’m still here on this app 😂

Hey guys, feel free to add me. Back here again and need some help to keep me on track this time. Just trying to get healthy and stay there (and also trying to get to the point where I can take my shirt off this summer!)

Hi all, started about five years ago and keep coming back 12 months after doing well and then going down hill. This time round it go to the point where I was out of breathe putting my boots on and my belt was down to the last notch (second one on a good day!). I have a ruck of clothes that I haven't work in 12 months as…

Sticking to around 1800-2000 at the moment. Don't know how people manage on 1500 or less, I'd be a feeble mess in no time!

Hey all, back here for about the fifth year running :s Been back a month and going strong but feel that a bit of motivation wouldn't go amiss. I'm 41 and feeling it so the aim is to be 42 and feeling like 22. I'm using a Garmin watch to help track my activities so if anyone wants to connect on there as well, add me and let…

Hey all, been back for a few weeks now and things are going well. I'm 37 and enjoying it while it lasts as I turn 38 tomorrow. I work in the UK in an office so only get to exercise when I put in the effort to do it. Last year I was snacking terribly throughout the day and was also propping up the 'All day breakfast'…

Hey all, starting afresh here aswell. Been going round in the same circle for ages now, start off well and lose a bit then go off track and put it back on again, get back on the wagon and then fall of again! Conscious that the of the wagon periods are getting longer and the on the wagon periods are getting shorter. Hope…

Hey all, just booted up the MFP app after a month or two of horrific eating and virtually no exercise. I'm feeling completely naff for it and desperately need to get myself back on track. I stepped on the scales for the first time in a while yesterday and fell off when it showed 200lbs, no wonder I feel so bad! Love the…

I need something to help with my motivation and will power so I'm definitely in. I'm aiming for 200 miles in January hopefully, a mix of fitbit registered miles and cycling on a turbo trainer whilst the weathers pants. 8 Miles so far, 5 miles on a turbo trainer (a bit of a guess but I did an hour so that's gotta be at…

Salad cream on toast, Love it!

Hoping to run a few fell races this year and then maybe the Longmynd Hike (50 miler) in October. Reckon I'll be walking that one though

Hey Fothers, Yep, I have trouble in the winter as well, more so with exercise motivation than food. It's either too cold or too wet (so I keep telling myself) and as soon as it get's dark the urge to sit on the sofa and not move just takes over! I have a 3 year old that wakes up at 5am as well and wants tucking in every…

Hello, Having never run a marathon I don't have any personal advice unfortunately. I joined up to Runkeeper (http://runkeeper.com) last year and they've recently changed their training plans so they're free (I think for all members). The training section has a lot of training plans ranging from 5k to marathon training for…

Hey all, From "not at all sunny, and tipping it down" Powys. New on here so glad to find some UK forums. Decided to head out for a run in the rain today. Temperature was about 2deg so my bald head was like a block of ice when I got back! Got my best time up a nearby hill though, unfortunately it more to do with a boxer…
