My husband unloaded the dishwasher the other day without being asked. THAT was amazing.

I am having the same problem! My calorie intake is set for 1700 and I am consistently 200-500 calories under. I've gotten into the habit of only eating small snacks (granola bar, rice cakes) during the day at work and I have a full meal and an extra snack before bed. I like the results I'm seeing right now, but like you-…

Thanks for all the support! I will definitely keep everyone posted on my baby making progress ;) My main mini goal was to weigh in under 300... and actually I weighed in at 298 this morning, so yay! My next mini goal is to weigh in at 275lb. Once I've reached that I think my reward will be fitting into jeans that are too…

I really get into a workout if I'm listening to something by Eminem. I think the hard beats and angry rapping gets me going more than anything... the hardest part is to try to keep myself from rapping along with him while I'm doing my thing... imagine how awkward that would be.. chubby white girl angry rapping on a…

If it's a potluck party, that would be ideal! Then you could bring something that you know that you can eat (and not feel guilty about). Even if it's not a potluck, you could bring a dish to share anyway, open up healthy options for your family as well :) If that's not an option, I would either eat ahead of time or bring…

Yaaay! Isn't it the best feeling to see results after all of your hard work?!

I would love to lose 100 by the time I turn thirty this year. (12/28/13). I have all year to do it and I'm glad to find people who are working toward the same goal! Let's do it! Anyone else in the same boat, add me!

I'm so glad someone addressed this. I am also a very overweight beginner and had questioned whether 30 Day Shred was a good idea. I ordered the dvd online and am waiting for it to be delivered, and had only heard how great it was. I should have figured that it probably wasn't in my best interest to just jump into something…

There are some low-impact walking workout dvds out there. They are mostly walking in place, side-step, aerobic workouts, without all of the squats and such. Walk Away the Pounds is the one I know of. Hope that helps!

"Did I write this?" I had the same thought!

I SO know what you're feeling.... My goal is to lose 100 pounds, and even at that weight I would be considered "overweight". Baby steps, right? My husband and I are trying to have our first baby and I know that being overweight can make that more difficult... not to mention, if I'm THIS big now, how the hell am I supposed…

The DVD route is a good one. They are so much cheaper and you get to work your whole body...plus you get more variety so you don't get bored with just the same workout. I used to have a Billy Blanks TaeBo VHS and I used it every day. I lost 30 pounds. I stopped working out, gained back 60, and found I had lost the tape. So…

They do have calories... BUT, think about it... by eating fruits and veggies, are you eating healthier than normal? The answer is likely, yes. It just reminds me of something Bob said on Biggest Loser several seasons back when he was asked about overeating the good-for-you stuff. He said, "You did not get fat from eating…

My husband's favorite crockpot meal (and my favorite too, because it's super easy) is Chicken Tacos: 2lbs of Chicken breasts 1 Jar of salsa 1 small bag of frozen corn cook on low for 6-8 hours, shred chicken and serve on tortillas- even better with homemade pico on top! I have also added taco seasoning and/or a can of…
