4lb in 4 weeks isn't necessarily "slow". It might feel slow to your impatient mind but unless you're morbidly obese it might actually be an appropriate pace for your weight. You say you have "a lot" to lose but if your TDEE is around 2100 then it can't be that bad...

Have you seen this?

Looking forward to you linking some peer reviewed published evidence from your "legit" coaches.

I have a Nutribullet but never in a million years looked at it as an alternative to ordinary weight loss and health. It's a tool and I like it for producing fruit smoothies, I blend soups with it and it makes my protein shakes really lump-free and creamy. But that doesn't mean that I LIVE on fruit smoothies or blended food…

I simply want to get back to the way I was before I got fat, which was 128lb at 5'6". For me that's a BMI of 20.6 and spot on in the ideal weight range for me. I believe that unless you do drastic things along the anorexic lines, your body will eventually make it extremely hard to lose any more weight than whatever your…

LOL "bonk" during C25K... are you serious?
-
This kind of explains it all.

It could be underestimating calories in, or overestimating calories out, so basically you're not creating the deficit you think you are. OR it could be simple water retention, standard fluctuations from salt intake or towards TOTM that we all get.

Okay if eggs and oatmeal are out, blending your own soups is still an option though. I made some lovely concoctions... chicken & vegetable soup... blended, still get the proteins and the goodness.

I hear you. My gym bag is like a tardis. :|

Example: Wed 9th March.... you ate just over 500 calories but it says you burned over 2000 calories from exercise. On many other days you clock 1000+ calories from exercise but you eat barely more than 1300 calories on a good day. It's not surprising that you keep losing. I don't think you found your healthy balance yet. I…

I was in this position a few years ago after an accident required work to my jaw. I got a simple hand blender. I would cook stews and then my OH would have the normal version and I would simply blend mine. You still get all the nutrition. Other than that, also a lot of scrambled eggs, mashed potato & carrot (both together,…

The medication itself does not cause the weight gain. The extra appetite some people experience and therefore the extra calories in cause the weight gain. I guess you will just have to be extra vigilant with your logging.

Love my Blaze. I have a few friends complaining that the strap on the Charge keeps breaking? Not sure if that's a regular thing?
-
Seems an overestimated burn for half an hour unless you're very large. If you're holding on at that incline, you not only negate the impact of the incline, you also substantially reduce the calories burned.

I wonder what proportion of customers ever transition successfully from "meal replacements" to long term maintenance on their ideal weight on real food...?

Look at how some people give up smoking for example. Some never last more than two days. Some get nicotine patches and succeed eventually. Some reduce their cigarettes gradually. Some just stop one day and don't go back! I guess the same variations are found with managing your food / exercise balance.

I have a Fitbit Blaze (upgraded from a Flex) and I really enjoy having it. It's handy having everything in one place and I tested the HR function against my chest-strap Polar HRM and it's pretty much spot on with the exception of strength training as someone else already said, although I wonder if it's actually "more"…

Firstly I'm sorry for your losses. xxxxx Be kind to yourself. I also lost both my parents in the last couple of years. My mother passed away age 66 from COPD in Dec 2014, my father was diagnosed with cancer 3 months later and died July 2015 age 67. I gained about 45 lb during that time and afterwards. There was a period of…

3 miles today... with a little sit in the sun break. :)

I'm assuming that's meant to say Kayanos rather than Hayanos, so I assume that you pronate significantly to justify those shoes? Have you ever had gait analysis?
-
Interesting!
-
That's true!
-
I know opinions will vary about whether it's worth attempting to change your gait or not. A determinant of whether it's worth your while or not depends on whether it's giving you problems. A few years ago I looked into POSE running and learned to land on my midfoot. As a hypermobile pronator not to heel strike anymore,…

We share the same mentor. He's awesome. :)

Our Yorkie cross cruises through 8 mile cross country hikes but he is used to regular walks of 3 miles plus. A dog may not be overweight but can still be unfit if this is a new activity for them are they are not used to regular walks of any length.

My collie's "snack please" face... Similarly dopey!

Typical lab then? ;)

Our terrier ("terriorist") was extremely hard work for a good year (dog behaviourist involvement etc.). I understand. He looks like butter wouldn't melt but will always have a bit of an attitude.

Our neighbour's dog is a black lab. His name is Logan. He likes to poke his nose through the fence to see if we have any "spare" snacks...
