It's almost midnight and snooze time, but we'll check in tomorrow hoping to meet new friends. :)

"Well hello there!"

They look like they can keep you warm at night! :D <3

Yogi, our little one, is part Yorkie / part Tibbie and only 6lb.

Just replaced my Flex with a Blaze. Took half a day of chatting to support staff on live chat to get i set up and to synch but now that it's up and running it's great and I'd love some friends. I only have a handful of friends I know in real life and I'd like to have a few more people around. I'm UK based, but happy to…

We're in. :D 3 miles a day on weekdays, sometimes more on weekends.

Unless you are overeating for the whole week, any gains are usually water. At TOTM I can fluctuate up by as much as 5lb, but it's not true gain and "whooshes" straight off the scale after a couple of days.

This thread makes me sad. I would be devastated if someone did this to me, but I'm glad at the same time that in my heart I know my OH never would. :(

I have a little oil mister. Handy little thing... http://www.lakeland.co.uk/70289/Misto-Oil-Sprayer

OP has not been back since questioned about the whole "stone a month" thing. :/

I think you misunderstood. VintageFeline explains it well. I *was* that goal weight three years ago and I know what my stats and my activity levels were to maintain that weight. You simply use a TDEE calculator to give you the figures and eat accordingly. http://www.iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

It's pretty much what I'm doing, i.e. eating at my goal weight, and it works for me. It's been steady losses and I'm almost 20lb down since Jan. I realise it'll slow down as you get closer to goal weight, but I have no problems with not being at my goal like by tomorrow...

I have no problems with cravings. As long as I stick to a certain amount of protein in my diet I don't really snack on crap. During TOTM I have a much lower pain threshold though, feel a little weaker and have a bit less energy, so I adapt my exercise accordingly, but it's only 2-3 days or so.

Sounds to me that he is the one who actually feels threatened in his masculinity. Strip clubs for a married man who just had this conversation about body image with his wife is quite a staggering response.

It simply means an appropriate balance based on one's individual statistics of calorie consumption versus calorie output. Whether you create that balance every day or as some do across the week is immaterial, but simple recognition of the fact that if you carry on "treating" yourself to more calories than you are…

So are you trying to imply that everyone who actually applies CICO is mentally unstable?
-
I thing the use of words like "treats" creates a rewards and punishment mentality around food that keeps people regard food as something much more emotional than it should be. In terms of earning calories I see the CICO situation much like a bank account....... If you spend money you haven't got you will get into debt and…

Possibly because it was faintly related to what goes on in a gym.... Dunno. 2012....... Seems a long time ago now...

Why not read the update....? :)

Well done on your success. You look great.

Erm.... The problem: I gained weight caring for chronically sick parents who died, first my mum, then my dad. Plan to overcome problem: I've now run out of parents that could die... :|

So, okay, in all seriousness, if I had 5 weeks and wanted to shift some serious weight... what would I do? I would be really hot on my weighing & logging, making sure my calorie deficit from food is "real". Then I would increase my deficit by doing some interval-based cardio like spin classes or such (rather than just…
-
LOL do you have any idea how long and how hard people work to get a 6-pack??? I give you a hint... longer than 5 weeks.
-
"Eyeballing" portions usually results in people eating a lot more than they think.
-
And there is your answer. How do you know you're consuming 1100 calories if you don't weigh anything???
-
That's just over 2 months to lose 2 stone................... With 14lb in a stone that means you would have to lose 3.5lb every single week. That's a deficit of 12,250 calories a week, or 1750 calories a day. To give you an idea of what that involve................. We're talking a spin class, a 5-mile run and a 500 cal…

What kind of Yoga? I've known very unfit people struggle a bit in Ashtanga Vinyasa with all the up/down sun salutations and the sheer pace of it etc. I've also known people to feel a bit whoozy in Bikram due to the heat.

I want to live in a way that means that on special occasions such as family gatherings, birthdays, a nice meal out with the OH I don't worry about having a dessert etc, because that's all part of normal life. However, and this is just my personal opinion, I don't "schedule" so called "cheat days" into my weekly diary to…

Unless you're Mo Farrah there will always be people faster than you. Only compete with yourself.
