i haven't yet figured out which topic causes more comical thread wars: sugar, or cauliflower substitution recipes. Either way, I thoroughly enjoy reading threads on both topics. I wonder what would happen if i started a 'replace sugar in your coffee with riced cauliflower' thread...

Wow. Thank you for this. Just the kind of inspiration I needed this morning!

when i'm depressed, or having a bad day in general, i log on to MFP and seek out precisely these types of threads. never fails to cheer me up. i love the heady mix of advice good and bad, trolling, OP shaming or defending, gifs, preaching, arguments and the occasional 'just here to giggle' comments. thank you MFP forums.…

put them all into a chilli, either on their own or with some ground beef or chicken. There are so many crazy chili recipes out there, you can't go wrong - i found one with pineapple and smoked paprika which was delicious and something a bit different which was exactly what I was after.

I always sync, go on connect to get my total calories and time for the workout, then use those to enter my activity on MFP. did you check the right place on garmin connect? it shows zones and BPM on the band as you go, then on connect, it has total calories burned, shows a graph displaying BPM over the course of the…

i have a vivofit and love it. you have to get it with the heart rate monitor to track exercise activity with it, as otherwise its really just a pedometer. But combined with the heart rate monitor, it's great. Doesn't sync with MFP (though there's been talk that it will,) but i find it easy to go to garmin connect, get my…

I'm sorry but sabotaging a friend who is trying to lose weight does not improve your situation or make you magically slimmer - if someone is afraid a friend's attempts to become more healthy will make them look bad, then they should take accountability for themselves, and join them in their attempts. i have a friend that…

Good for you for taking a stand. It's all about being accountable to yourself - you have to make your own choices. Trust me I know how hard it is - I've had a rough couple of weeks and have had some big meals that took me outside of my calories. But, I chose to do that, no one else. So I have to own up, accept it happened,…

I finished all 30 days about 2 weeks ago. I did it 6 days a week. I noticed some strength and endurance improvement by the end of level 1, by mid level 2 I could see it in my shoulders, butt and thighs, by a few days into level 3 I could really see it in my abs and was much stronger. So at the end of it, I had stronger…

I logged in specifically hoping to find this exact thread haha. I hate both of those workouts. Going to sub in 30ds level 3 or some ripped in 30 instead on those days.

thanks for the input everyone, very helpful! Everything you guys have said makes sense and has sated my sense of curiosity. Back to perfecting my pushups now!

I hated level 2 and twice quit because of it. Trust me, stick it out, level 3 is better. It's tough but I loved it. As much as it sucks, level 2 gives you the ab and shoulder strength you need to take on level 3.

same here - starting turbo fire today for my second time through, love the program and log in to MFP daily so I'm happy to both get and give support along the way (because let's face it, even though Chalene says 'YOU ARE NOT TIRED' doesn't mean she's right:happy: )

it really bothers me when friends or family say things like 'why are you trying to lose weight, i'm way bigger than you, I'd love to be your size.' I'm not gauging MY happy weight on YOUR happy weight. I'm doing what is best for me, I'm doing it in a healthy way, and if you want to join me in my weight loss efforts I'd…

Just finished day 30! I have definition in my arms and thighs, my butt looks good in my jeans and I can see some ab definition coming through. Guys, it will get hard but do not stop! Take a rest day if you need it then get back to it. Trust me this was my third attempt at doing it, never made it all the way before but so…

I would like to know if you morning runners who do it primarily as you feel you won't do it later in the day, feel that you are able to work as hard/ get as much out of it? If so what's your secret? I can get up and go out there but I can never work as hard as I can in the afternoon , I just don't have the energy. Any…

Just wanted to say to you all, I'm on day 29 out of 30, and it is SO WORTH IT!! it will get really hard, for me it was a few days into level 2, and i wanted to quit. I am so glad that I didn't. Having forum friends to check in with really helped keep me going. 2 more days to go and i'm looking forward to them. I wish you…

Pizza Pasta, any kind. Especially mac and cheese though. Cheeseburgers Curries, Indian or thai Cake. Any. Especially corner pieces with extra frosting.

I've done the cauliflower rice, mash and pizza base. All three are great. Lots of cauliflower rice varieties ; I found a coconut lime cilantro one which is great with thai curries. Google is a great recipe book!

I just did level 3 day 4, I've seen great results and love the workout. I have 3 lb and 5 lb weights, I try to use the 5 lbs for everything but there's been at least one exercise each level where I had to use the 3. I can see my abs now and have definition in my thighs and shoulders. If you're like me, a few days in to…

I literally just looked this up earlier today. If you Google quinoa nutrition in chrome, the sidebar that comes up let's you get nutrition info for both cooked and raw, that should help hopefully!

Amazing achievement, love your outlook and attitude; truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

Most people are surprised that I play violin,my back, ribcage and both thighs are fully tattooed, and I have a crippling phobia of wind turbines.

This has made my morning.
