Hehehe.. so I just found this group and found it kind of funny that folks were complaining about last winter - I'll tell ya, I'd take that winter again over this one!! So, anyway, doesn't seem to be an overly active group, but I'm here, from the southtowns..

What about walking during lunch? When the weather is warm, we walk outside - a brisk 30 minute walk. When it's cold, we do laps inside the building. Try and find a friend who wants to walk with you. It makes the time go quicker and really helps.

I honestly thought this was only me. I noticed when I put the scale on one tile, it shows one weight, and on another, it's different. I place it on the same tile every time now, so at least I know I'm consistent. :)

So I get it, you sweat more, you lose water weight... But, there must be something else to these. Maybe if you sweat more, you burn more calories as well? Isn't that the theory behind Bikram Yoga? Or am I way off base with that?

It's important to set small, achievable goals so you don't get frustrated. Don't go in there thinking "I have to lose 100 lbs" because it's too overwhelming. Start saying things like I'm going to exercise X minutes this week, or I'm going to keep my calorie count below X today, and you'll start noticing results before you…

I hear ya. Get married, have kids, stop needing to look good 'cuz you've already got the guy. That'd be me. So here I am, years later, trying to drop a LOT of pounds (60 would be great, 80 would be fantastic and 100 would be OMG!) Feel free to add me, and we can encourage each other to look good!
