kale I know it is more nutritious than Romaine lettuce, and I have tried it in a salad raw, sauteed with garlic, and roasted (attempted to make "chips" but they never got crispy). Just not a fan.

Hi, happy to have just found this thread! My stats are: age 46 HW 255 CW 248 goals for October: cut back my drinking to only 2 drinks max Friday or Saturday (been using alcohol too much to cope the past 6 months) no eating after dinner (I am a night snacker) walk for at least 30 minutes 4 times a week I've been so down…

Ugh, sorry, having a BAD night tonight (after a pretty good day). Got into the vodka and am way over calories for the day. ☹

I want to fit back into cute dresses! I have to wear compression socks because of leg wounds that are finally healing, and I want a Kawaii cute look, rather than a beefy, brawler look.

in his kilt. Sorry for the typo!
-
Thanks again, and definitely TTYL! I am going to try to dig up one of my wedding pics with my man on as kilt!
-
Sound like a plan!
-
Thanks for chatting and distracting me from eating, by the way. It is a HUGE help!

I am cursed with no allergies or intolerances. Lol!

Haha, that would definitely put fish on your "no way" list then!

I love Indian food for meat-free meals.

Oh, plant-based, kudos to you!!! I am trying to add in more fruits and veggies and we have fish/shellfish three times a week (or a vegetarian Indian dish). I recently made sushi. That was fun! I made a NY bagel roll with cream cheese, salmon, and red onions.

I love going hiking, travelling to new places. and cooking. So much the cooking! On a bit of an Asian kick lately. I lived in Hawaii for 6 years when I was a kid.

I am happy you finding love again!

I was having a bit of a midlife crisis before I got sick last year. I dyed my hair blue, now purple, listened to a lot of music, and made friends with a wild, crazy chick who was also having a crisis. After about 6 months of going off the rails, I came to my senses and am grateful he was patient with me.

My husband"s family is from Ayreshire. Came to America on the 1850s. I think. Mine came from central and southern Europe (Italy, Germany, and Poland, mostly) during the great immigrant influx in the early 1900s

@wakeccurn what do you like to do, i.e. hobbies?

I hear This Is Us is amazing, but I havent startex it yet. One of these days I will get around to it! I swear!
-
Oops, sorry! Darn me for making assumptions! Lol! Awesome attire! Love the kilt! And congrats on a year and a half! We are now almost 18 years. Our anniversary is Cinco de Mayo. My dream is to fit back into my wedding dress by 20.

I am very sorry for your loss. I can totally understand gaining weight after a shocking life event - I gained 50 lbs last year when I was suffering from huge, nasty leg wounds likely caused by vasculitis. Doctors still have no idea why it happened, nor are they in agreement as to what they are, really. Luckily for me they…

@wakeccurn is your husband wearing a kilt in your pic? My husband wore his tartan for our wedding!

My boys are six and eight. My older son has ADHD and autism, so every day is a challenge. He is high-functioning, very smart, but very socially backward. He doesn't pick up on social queues, which can get frustrating. Sabrina is campy fun. Dark, but fun at the same time. I liked Sabrina comics as a kid and was stoked when…

After beating myself up unnecessarily, I decide to get back to tracking EVERYTHING and try to get a little exercise in every day. Today, my exercise was playing ball with my kids and putting together shelves. Kept me busy and away from the fridge and the pantry!

Committing to no late-night snacking today. I am just a dash over my calorie count for today, so finally a good day.
-
Not bad, thanks. Got everyone's lunches ready for tomorrow and I didn't lick any knives or sample anything to make sure it isnt poison - lol! Cleaned all the dishes and got the coffee set up. I could probably fold towels during Sabrins to keep my hands busy. If I was inclined to be even more industrious. Haha! How are you…
-
I know, right wakeccurn? I am fighting it for now.

I'm watching Sabrina on Netflix right now. LOVE this show!

My deal breaker is smoking. I am about 6 years smoke-free, and I still cannot be around it. And frankly, actually smoking made incredibly sick when I faltered the last time, more than six years ago after abstaining for 2 months.
-
And . . . I am the only one awake. AGAIN. Resisting the urge to eat cheese and such. Watching Sabrina on Netflix - had no idea season 2 dropped! Yay!

USA Eastern time zone. Sorry about that!!!
