Ask me how I can tell who didn't read the whole thread.

OP here's a good voice to listen to: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/yoovie/view/because-im-not-invisible-damnit-666120 ETA: actually not just OP, this is a great counterpunch for anyone dealing with a toxic inner critic. I'd go on here, but there's nothing to improve upon.

The unholy spawn of your dual requests for mainstream and men on skates. You only have yourself to blame.

Phew! Made it back from shopping and lunch at Panera just in time for this thread!

Yep, pretty crappy theme there tryhards.

Oh pardon my absent-mindedness. Of course there's no other source for my fitness and nutrition secrets: http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/culinary-institute-americas-sweet-potato-ice-cream

Teresa is it? Well Teresa, unless I'm misunderstanding, I'm seeing one of your client's reaction to your rant about another one of your clients. That's not very professional. Just, throwing that out there. Rants are fun to write (and read), but not really productive, and could actually be harmful or at least awkward (see…

I think some have, and others, like me, aren't painting a complete picture. The good times far outnumbered the bad, it just happened that the bad stuff contributed to some challenges I have now, which was what the question was about I think.

Be emotionally steady and consistent. Don't let your past hurts dictate your behavior. I can't trust you when out of nowhere you turn on me and I have to be the grown up. But I love and forgive you anyway.

snudgie, It's day 2 now. How are things? I've been checking this since last I posted, hoping you'd come back and share your thoughts.

No lie, I just had a nightmare a few minutes ago. It's not important what it was, just that it was the kind that sends your eyes flying open, chest heaving, body curling inward to protect itself. Even after the full realization that it was just a dream my heart is still pounding. I picked my phone up off the nightstand,…

There we go, that's the point of this thread. It's not easy, and you'll mess up (everyone does), but passing the dropout point is something you should be happy about! Might be good time to figure out a new goal as a level-up on your way eh?

I love this post. I wish I had taken time to educate myself like this when training for my first half. I did too much too fast, got runner's knee, ran the event injured and ended up in PT for months. Hopefully this will spare someone all that mess. Thanks for posting!

Oh now come on, we were all new once. Let's celebrate the ones who have hung in there! Anyway, my noob and my timeshare noob I have with Acrylics seem to be weathering their challenges well. Congrats everyone, keep it up!

What is even happening in here?

Yes some people suck. Like today on these very forums I saw someone respond to a teenager who was obviously struggling with some food issues to "eat something, twig". Would that be the kind of *kitten* you mean perhaps?

I don't want to make you feel unwelcome at all, and I think you should be very proud of what you've done to change your course and regain your physical and emotional health. That being said though, you might want to discuss with your therapist if MFP and it's calorie counting might undo your progress. There are people in…

This just seems like a good idea regardless.

Maybe just stay with a reasonable approach, make sure you get plenty of rest, drink enough, and see if you don't shed some pounds of water weight you were hanging onto. I'll bet that's what a good bit of it was.

May Ranch Tooth haunt your dreams, blasphemer.

I will eat this stuff with a spoon, not even sorry. Would also get escorted from this salt mine cathedral for licking the walls:

The old Coppertone, like SPF 4 or 8. One whiff and I'm back in Florida with my grandparents, looking for sharks teeth on the beach. So many happy memories.
