I agree on your version of the levels, but it is very vague and easy to interpretation. People just have to choose what they think closely fits with their level of daily activity. I choose the light activity, because I'm a stay at home mom days and work part time as a nurse. I think I deserve that distinguisher, but if I…

Thank you for all the helpful replies. I am going to work on both as soon as I'm feeling better (hopefully tomorrow, baby gave me his cold and it comes with a headache that feels like your head is being smashed by a hammer). Wall pushups are pretty easy for me at this point, so I'm going to try to progress, and I'm going…

You are awesome!

Is this your husband at home? Someone at the gym? Seriously, who does that? Oh I know, someone who is jealous. I'm guessing this other person is sitting on the couch?

Well you are actually probably doing it the best way. Sometimes if you eat more one day then less then next then more, then next, you trick your metabolism to keep burning so if you are all over the place, you are probably doing this without trying - so I'd say you really have a few options. 1. Keep it up and keep going…

I dunno. I'm morbidly obese, and I bet I'm healthier than a lot of people who weigh less than me because I exercise and lift. You do need an attitude change to survive this, and you might get one along the way. Nobody is ready to really take charge of their body until they are ready. All the passive aggressive back and…

1 lb a week is pretty spot on for your current weight, so keep doing what you are doing (which is what? are you eating them or not right now?)

I don't know how much you weigh, but looking at your pics, I can guess percentage wise your about where I'm at and I'm here to say LISTEN TO THE DOCTOR! at a minimum I eat 1700 which is my MFP target, and if I eat that for too long, I stall out. I need to have high calorie days or my metabolism stalls. The past two weeks…

I've only been doing it since Jan 7th, I've lost 18 lbs, 2+ inches in waist, 3.5 i hips, 1.5 in bust. I don't have a great before pic, but there's something in my profile, and zumba is definitely changing my physique and energy level.

Oh and if you want a dancer's body, you can just look like me! I'm a totally hot zumba dancer. :P I'm all like out there shakin my money maker...and then some.

@ Those knocking curves, seriously don't knock unless you've actually tried it. It's actually a really great, non intimidating way to motivate women to weight lifting. It's the first form of weightlifting I ever tried, and was my gateway drug to having the confidence to go to a real gym. Did I stick with it? Nope, but…

I know I'm one big science experiment. I think it was called the corn syrup experiment. I'm a Registered Nurse, an Atheist, and a Science enthusiast myself. We're around.

I'm butting in to answer -they are very fishy tasting IMO. I, nor my very clean eating children will touch the seaweed snacks. blech!

This. A Dancer's body is a lifter's body. But for the record, I just want the FLOTUS' body.

It's more important for women. Osteoporosis is the big reason. If you are elderly and you fall and break a hip, you are probably done. Bones are cruel to women, and lifting is what saves us. Also, then you can open your own jar of pickles. ;)

The number one thing that saves my edibles at trader joes is "21 spice salute" I go through a bottle about every three weeks. It's sodium and calorie free basically. I roast veggies with that and olive oil. I marinate tilapia in it with a little bit of soy sauce and lemon juice. I throw it on my chicken. On potatoes. etc.…

Face almost immediately, then waist.

I hear ya. I know the original post was about people wanting to get from a higher body fat percentage to a lower one, but the degrading words grate on me and make me a little apprehensive about this site (In my case, if they think that looks bad, what do they think about me?) It's actually quite hurtful to read.

HAH yay and ignore that last post ;)

EAT THE DOUGHNUT! If you don't eat the doughnut, then you will break eventually and eat a dozen doughnuts. Trust me, a little now is better than the bakers dozen on your hips later.
-
Well I've lost 1.5 inches around my chest so far that I can measure, and I went from spilling out of my 42DDD to fitting into it right now. That's about 18 lbs of loss from 290 to 272ish (although I don't officially weigh again til Wed)

I don't like reconstituting it, but I throw it in with a chocolate protein shake and half a banana, and it's a yummy treat.

WW banks it weekly, and I personally think you can. your body is in a constant state of flux. One theory that a lot of people think you can do is have one day where you eat a ton of calories (some do this on the rest day), and then eat pretty clean the rest of the week and this will trick your metabolism into burning…

I started WW on Jan 7th and I'm down over 15 lbs. It's a great program, and it keeps you super accountable. I just found MFP a few days ago and I think I really enjoy the exercise mentality over here, but I like the accountability for yourself, your actions and your food you get from going to a WW meeting. I think it's…

All I can say is that you are a woman. If I measured myself every day, my boobs would be going up and down and up and down, as would my weight (and that does- I peek). So getting upset over 2 CM and 0.5 Kg seems to be more of an issue than the actual gain. This process is a lifetime process, as well as a day to day…

HI! Added both of you! Good luck with your journeys. Kelly, no idea what slimmingworld is - I'm guessing it's something from across the pond?
