Awesome - thanks for sharing your 1200 calorie thing. I eat more, but I know some people see 1200 as bad, but hey it looks like it worked for you with your cheat days. Lookin great!

If you work your *kitten* off so hard you want to flick off the instructor, you're doing good. You will be fine, just listen to your body, your instructor, ask questions, and give it a few shots. If I can do it, you can do it - they will scale it to your abilities.

Yes. Spin class or any areobic class for that matter like kickboxing, zumba, step, etc will are high calorie burners, and will help get those pounds off, mix them up with lifting or something like a body pump class and you will be doing great.

True story. A tablespoon or two of even simply bacon bits in an egg and veggie scramble is an excellent way to start a day.

If you want hope, I can say mine has gotten probably 3x better as I've gone along. But also, I have to watch my fluid intake right before I workout, if I curb that and start drinking water once I'm actually sweating so it's just replenishing my losses, that works better (but make sure you drink what you need, I just try…

My friend actually organizes clothing swaps twice a month for women all sizes from 0 to plus size, so You save up all your good, unwanted clothes and bring them there. then grab some new things somone else brought, it's fun. We donate anything left over. We get about 30 women going to it, and an unbelieveable amount of…

Not really. but it's not like you can't nurse with a sports bra (pull it up/take it off, nurse baby, put it back on and go).

Ok I was just noticing that you only have 23 lbs to lose. That' should not be too heavy to run (for instance I'm 230 and I run) - you may have other knee issues then, and you should talk to a physician about what activity is best.

I had a hard time running when I started. I started with Zumba and other dance games on my Wii/Kinect, graduated to actual zumba class, sometimes I elliptical which is an awesome workout if you are heavier and worried about the impact of running. And of course weight lifting. If you don't have a gym membership, then…

The problem is that a normal person (in the US) eating an average diet with a variety of junk food mixed in, who does not watch sodium can eat up and above 8000 mg easily, which is in extreme excess. Trying to hit the MFP standard of 2500 mg is probably a good idea, especially since we all tend to add little things like…

If it helps, I've done that exact same class, and I did it several times at about 260 lbs and my heart rate moniter only ever had me burning 200 calories at most, which is what I burn in pretty much a normal hour - so nope, no way you are burning 300+ Sorry!

It's a 3 day a week program at most, you can do it 1-2 days a week and still have success -
-
It's really hard to overload on cardio if you are feeling good, but you should have 3 lifting days. Can you use heavier weights with pump at home? I would do pump 3 days a week, and running 2x a week, and turbo 2x a week. if you want a rest day - double a turbofire and lifting day (lift first though)

I'm thinking there are two servings here? I might try it, but cut half the oats and add protein powder.

I would say who cares what the scale says, but we all care. That being said, just be aware that if you are doing all the right things, tracking/weighing everything, working out 5+ times a week, then you're doing good. If the scale goes up, it's temporary. Keep in mind that our fat cells store an abundance of hormones, and…

how about just "day" because I don't have cheat days, I have days where sometimes I make choices to eat foods that are not super clean, and it's not always the same day of the week. It's usually me just living my life and adjusting accordingly, I'm just much pickier now about what I will and won't spend empty calories on.

I say just tell them you need a turn to do your workout - if they are there all afternoon, they probably aren't in a hurry. And since they are boys, they probably appreciate that you don't lift as much as them, because their fragile teenage egos would be squashed by a woman show them who's the boss. I really think you…

If you have the genetics, cardio will do it for you. Definitely don't lift or do squats, because those could build muscles in your legs and prevent your thigh gap, and you wouldn't want to have strong legs that function and could save you in a zombie apocalypse, because you won't have thigh gap then. Also, everyone knows a…

I love everything you said here, and especially relate to not really "hiding behind your fat" and using it as an excuse to let things slide in life. You are awesome!

A couple things to keep in mind: Your starting size was probably too small for most people, because we have a hard time going upsizes. The bigger you are, the longer it takes to lose a size. So starting at 275 (or in my case 289) it might take 25-30 lbs to lose that one size, but once you get under 200, the sizes drop at…

2 days. last week.

Thanks for all the love and support, and compliments. You guys are amazing!!! :) And RE: the necklace for those who have liked it- I got it from an awesome guy on etsy 321Gostuff - and he made all the charms custom, and I'm getting charms to switch it up when I hit 75/100/125, or maybe new necklaces by then? who knows.

Awesome! Super jealous

I only "rest" when my body says rest. That being said, I don't lift every day, and I do let my upper body recover. A couple days a week, I just do cardio, and one of those days I only do zumba and so that's kinda rest. That being said, I listen to my body and every 3-4 weeks I take one day off of work because my body is…

It sounds like you should. A lot of people put memberships on hold for the summer, and since you are moving in two months - why waste the 100$ if you are doing 30DS.

I burn 100 calories with 10 minutes of fairly intense work, so no, because I could do one set of that circuit in 2 minutes or less. So for me if I did that circuit 5 times, it would be about a hundred calories.

When thinking about foam rolling sore spots, think about what you are doing. Foam rolling is a form of deep tissue massage that aids in loosening up your muscles, and recovering muscles for future workouts among other benefits. when you feel a very painful spot, that means that you basically have a knot in that muscle.…

I'm in the eat what you want category as long as you are trying to hit the 1200 minimum, but you can't say in your first post that "sometimes I'm starving" and then use "I stay quite full" as an argument in the same thread.

If you want, you can add me. I started at 289, still going strong.
