Tried to go without eating them back but found on my cardio days I would just get famished and feel weak. Now eating back half which I find is way better and still losing weight at a decent pace.
-
Back-log as best you can and move on. It didn't take a weekend to gain it in the first place so no big deal in the grand scheme of things.
-
Was feeling more and more like crap last year, and even my baggy clothes were tightening up, then several shoot the breeze talks with coworkers and bosses about desk work killing us all just before teh holidays, then the holidays hit and seeing some of those pictures taken kinda surprised me when I saw myself, then after…

Always before. Kind of a pain when cooking larger meals or for more than one person, but I found there is just way to much variation with cooked weights.

Snowing right now in Brandon so I'm guessing not... Can't wait for real spring!!
-
Only thing for me is chips. Everything else I just eat in moderation, but like lays says I "can't eat just one".
-
Totally doable and good luck to your sir!! Started off with BMI of just under 40, cut the chips and pop out and started walking and dropped down to a 37 BMI before even finding this site. Since joining in Jan and bustibng my *kitten* have lost another 46 lbs and looking back wish I had started this years ago!!

Have a midrange home elliptical and found it to be pretty accurate to my polar chest HRM as well. Just way slower to get a reading and not much good for continous monitoring if your are trying to estimate cals burned over an entire cardio workout.
-
I thought for sure it was chips, but haven't craved or touched them since I started... Bread has proven to be a struggle as I was also a sandwich, toast, etc person.
-
Several online calculators that use age, HR, & weight indicatewith your details 935 cal burned at an avg HR of 150 over an hour, so maybe not too far off.
-
My Polar FT4 is accurate with the built in HRM on my elliptical, and as long as I work out at near max intensity I find the values on the MFP website are not too far off the polar. I think the problem is that people "run" for 30 min and enter it into MFP using the database entry, when really what they are doing is a brisk…

The food database is an absolute mess on this site. Just us the USDA values and be as accurate as possible in your search. http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list

5-gallon bottle of water!! And I just racked off 5 gallons of mead tonight, so I know how heavy that actually is too!!
-
Highly diligent with counting calories. Like to the point of weighing lettuce. Weigh everything raw also!! Way too much inconsistency with cooked foods, or trusting the values in the database here also, so much of it is wrong. Use the USDA database website for accurate values. I'm eating pizza, the odd beer, and even…

11 weeks for me. Although that was with the max allowable calorie restriction, weighing everything raw (even lettuce), 3-4 times week strength training, daily heavy cardio, eating back only 1/3 - 1/2 of cardio cals burned and only if hungry, and cutting out booze 100%. Works out to around 3.6 lbs/week average so far.

This is my experience. Have always been a big fat strong guy. Now I am 40 lbs lighter, but can lift just as much as before. Haven't gained any big strength (beyond some inital beginner gains), but for a 1000 cal deficit and daily heavy cardio (with only eating back half burned) and the weight loss I am seeing, while…

Never use oil to fry my chops always found with a non-stick pan the pork has just enough fat to keep from burning if your are careful. Also just add a dash of salt and pepper to season, no need to muck around with flour or shake and bake for taste if you buy decent cuts. Just fried one up for lunch today. Delicious! * Usda…

40 lbs down here, and the people I see on a day-to-day basis mostly through work have only commented on my face so far in terms of noticing something different. Went home to visit family recently through first time since the holidays and everyone commented on the progress. Also, I think clothes have a huge part to play as…

Peanut butter and a spoon. Quick, easy, effective, and tasty. Edit: Also cheap.

Right after work around 5-6 or so, and into the evening if I have had a light dinner. I've found for myself having just a piece of fruit for breakfast (if anything), a light lunch, and a bigger dinner is the best way to solve these cravings.
-
No big deal. Just log it as accurately as you can and forget about it. One day is not going to set you back any huge amount in the overall scheme of things and worrying about week to week/day to day progress will cause nothing but stress.

Still feel fat a lot of the time even after losing 38 lbs, but in reality I am still obese by definition and a long ways off to my goal. I am however having more and more occassional moments where I feel less fat, and way better about myself though, and that's all that matters in my opinion!!
-
Heard it from a close family member, but she has a medical background and was genuinely concerned that I was starving myself, was sick, or had developed some kind of disorder to achieve my goals. Discussing it with her further and outing the plan and steps I was taking really put her at ease. Unfortunately I think many…

Can get around 600 calories burned at around 30 min here, but it's def high intensity to achieve that, so your numbers don't sound off. Just make sure your HRM is setup correctly with your details and use that. Also, you can subtract your BMR during during your workout time from the total if you want to get really picky…

Hopefully will have better eating/nutrition habits and true dedication to exersize by the time I get there, but thinking a weekly weigh-in to keep me in line is in order. If I have to lose 5 or 10 lbs, after ditching the 93lbs I am working on now, I figure it will be no sweat!!
-
Andy 38 lbs lost so far!! 46 lbs to go. Pre-plan meals and don't cut-out foods you enjoy!! Seriously, by planning ahead you can have that pizza if you want it. Might just have to settle for a salad or apple for your next meal to make up for it though! Balance in nutrition is what I am learning the most here!!
-
That's what I have found too. Was doing moderate effort cardio for a bit, but found near max high intensity cardio was just so much better and less time consuming anyways. Never understood "afterburn" until I started with it too and loving it.
-
I didn't start making decent progress until I started daily heavy cardio alongside my every second day weights workout, and am loving the extra energy/endurance I seem to be developing as well. No more huffing and puffing up the stairs for me!!
-
PIck and choose myself. Yogurt fat free, PB regular, Dressing Fat-Free or light at least... Pretty much just according to taste more than anything though, and if the fat free version is significantly less calories too I'm sold.
-
Believe me that's just what I aim for. Will sometimes still hop the scale after having a bad day, or just feeling apprehensive about what I ate in the previous day, etc... When I do make it through 2 weeks without a weigh-in it's always a bit scary getting on and seeing the results!!
