Jon Stewart summarized that comparison pretty well..."an ********** casserole."

Yep - no need for toppings b/c it is so freakin' tasty as is...but some pepperoni and black olives would be okay, I guess. Looks like a good NY/NJ pie... P.S. I thought Nutella was the most divisive food?

I just hit the top of the BMI range for being within "normal weight" and am a size 12. Funny how much sizes vary depending on where you carry it (in my case, by butt and thighs). I probably have 20 lbs to go to hit an 8. Sigh.

41, feel free to add.

We are similar in goal, but my timeline is longer. I am about 161 right now and hope to reach 145 around the end of April and 140 by mid-June (slowly upping calories in the last 10 lbs so transition to maintenance will be smoother). Then I will assess to see if I am happy there. Feel free to add me!

Sounds weird, but I have come to like and respect my rather ugly abdomen scars resulting from multiple surgeries. They show I am a fighter and that I can bounce back from a really low point in my life.

I plan to do a Turkey Trot and then eat in moderation.
Love your profile picture
Thanks, and likewise! Should be updating any moment now, though (there seems to be a lag when you change your main pic for it to hit the forums).

That comment was meant for Sunburnt, but I am sure that is true. Dodged a few bullets myself along the way. ;)

I am so sorry you get this. People just don't think sometimes.

This. I know they mean well, but just...sigh. Plus the "oh, you still have time" on the kid thing, usually after I've just said I don't want one. I love kids. Just don't want one of my own. Some people are confused by that.

This is the first year I remember that I haven't bought any candy corn. Because I will eat half a bag at a time. No moderation at all.

I spend far less when I am closely monitoring what I eat. Less eating out, fewer adult beverages, and mostly make my own meals, often in bulk. I plan the weekly menu around what veg, fruit, fish/meat is on sale and pick up extra sale items of things that keep (canned tomatoes, oatmeal, etc.).

20 year-old orange circus peanuts.

Wouldn't you have to be a bit younger for us to be cougars?

41 year-old (with the sense of humor of an 8 year-old boy at times) checking in! Looking to lose another 20 - 25 lbs. Anyone feel free to add me.
-
You will not find much support for a 300-500 calorie approach on these forums. It is far too little and is unsustainable. You note that you were 96 lbs in 2011 when you had an eating disorder and your current goal is 90-98 lbs - do you see how illogical that is? Please get help.

I understand, OP. I was so inconsistent at taking my meds, I had to put an alarm reminder on my phone. It's helped a lot.
-
You. Are. Awesome.

^^^Yep, this^^^. I have 20-25 left to lose. Taking into account the realities of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and 3 scheduled work trips, I am aiming for a 6-8 lbs loss by the end of the year. And I consider this ambitious given the constant gauntlet of sodium and sugar-filled temptations I know I will encounter. But I admire…

20 lbs is likely beyond my reach, even if I weren't late to the party (I have a lot of travel the next few weeks). But sign me up for 10! CW (10/13/14): 168 GW (12/25/14): 158

Well, if it's a curve you are still about 2 standard deviations above the mean. Damn overachiever.
-
Not sure how to take that. But cannot deny that it's true.

I decided to give him a pass on that one ;)

L - if you were the "average" there would be a lot of very happy women out there. Alas, 'tis not the case.

For years at a time, but not by choice. That said, I could probably hit up a rando and break the spell at any point. Just not my style [anymore].

+1. Former adjunct here. And please consider the impact on your lab partner. Depending on how much material you have already missed, you may want to consider withdrawing or requesting an incomplete for the class. Your health must be your priority. Please get well.

Don't care. Want them anyway.

Ooooohhh. Can we top that baby off with some grilled onions and mushrooms?
