In to read later - our stats are similar.

Add me to the list of criminal justice/legal field folks - I do process and outcome evaluations for criminal justice and social welfare programs. ETA: And yes, mostly conducive to a healthy lifestyle unless I am traveling a lot.

I wish I had *the* answer for you. Nutritionists and Dr's seem to be of limited assistance, but mostly because the research is so limited and the considerable variability on "what works" across different Crohnies. What we do know is that because food passes so quickly (esp during flares) you not only lose weight, but you…

Your brand of beer talk is decidedly different from what I thought the phrase meant, but in a good way. :blushing:

That sweet potato concoction sounds yummy!

I have to stop at the store later for some produce and all I will be thinking about now is these darn things.

These are not allowed in my house because I cannot stop at one. So, so, good.

ETA: I think my favorite is the "good girl/bad girl machine" - never heard that before but it is absolutely clear which machine you mean!

Agree (except I don't get tummy aches - that really sucks)! I like to get the bowl with a lettuce base and just a half-portion of rice and black beans, then load up on the veggies. This leaves me wiggle room for cheese/guac which are calorically pricey, but nonetheless desirable to me. That's the beauty of build-your-own.…

That's certainly up there on the Shi**y-Things-To-Find-Out-On-FB list. Hugs to you. :(

1) That a good friend died in car crash. 2) Following a blowout with my sister last year, she blocked me and then waged a high volume smear campaign against me on FB complete with horrible fabrications (mutual friends and family kept contacting me to ask what the hell was going on - those who gently suggested she stop were…

Ok, count me in. My goal may not seem very ambitious, but the weight is coming off slower now and want to aim for a realistic number. SW: 188 CW: 159 GW: 155 (at month's end) Other goals this month: gym 5x a week, at least 100 miles of cardio by end of month Weigh in Dates: 4/01 159 4/08 4/15 4/22 4/29 4/30-Final weight…

So many creative entries and yet "tossed salad" yields only the banal variety. I really expected more from this community. :grumble:

Both, but there is surely variability introduced between the time/speed app I use when walking and the calibration accuracy of the treadmill. That's why I say "or so."

Depends on height and leg length, perhaps? I don't have to break into a slow jog until 4.5 or so.

Going on 23 yrs here. And you could not pay me to do it over again. :drinker:

Still no.

I just snarfed! Yes, it is a very specific skill set.

One of my fields of expertise is sexual assault in prisons, jails, and juvenile facilities. ETA: The specifics of which are entirely different from the public perception. But that doesn't make for good jokes or movies.

Yes - I have several good male friends for 20-25 years with nary a sexual moment. A couple more where we discussed the tension and then proceeded to either pursue it or put the kibosh on it. And the biggest group is those with whom I previously made out, dated, or had serious relationships and remain friends with. Luckily…

Hi, there! I am Crohner myself. Welcome to the group! As an aside, I know prednisone is terrible for us physically, but it had this weirdly positive effect on my disposition. I was a regular Sally Sunshine on it - jumping out of bed each morning eager to greet the day, seeing the silver lining in the worse situations, etc.…

ETA: This is no way a criticism of Cptn's dog, Peanut, who is very cute! That little "s" makes a big difference, especially when shouting.
