  • I usually shop at Old Navy or Target. Since I'm still losing weight, I don't want to buy a bunch of 'expensive' clothes that don't fit after a couple of months. But gotta have things I can wear right now! I just know those clothes will tend to fit from their brands. Sorry about the bad experiences. ): I would say try some…
  • Yep, I had a big battle with it yesterday. Mine usually tells me that even if I lose all the weight I'll just gain it back so why try. That I've never been thin, and I'm never going to be able to sustain it, yadda yadda. But I'm looking to make a major change and get rid of that voice altogether and show it who's boss! If…
  • Thanks!!! Needed a pick me up tonight to motivate my butt to go to the gym in the morning. Not been a good day, so just gotta not let things cloud up my head and focus on my goals. Hope you're doing well and you heal up soon! :)
  • I also suggest dry shampoo. :) If your hair is long, it helps to put it up. The roots are the only part that get a little sweaty anyway, not all of the hair. I use a shower cap to make my washes last longer. Hope that helps! :)
  • Lol I don't think it was her that wrote it, probably someone who works for her. So this makes it even better.
  • Glad it helped! It's just something I found that I thought might spark some interest in people and get them thinking about food in a different light (It's fuel, not an obstacle or something to make you nervous!). It's also good to know about your vitamins and minerals and where to get what. The reports tab has been my best…
  • Thanks for the thought out response! You know, as I was typing it up I was curious about the caffeine one. Typically when I need coffee, I need a pick me up because I'm tired. And I just like coffee lol. This all makes a lot of sense, I definitely need to look into this a bit more and see why some of these are grouped…
  • You know, I'm not sure about that! I looked it up at other places, and it did say to include salt! So I'll have to do some research on that. Thanks for that, as well. I appreciate it, I didn't realize I might be putting up something controversial.
  • Feel free to post your opinions on the matter, but please be constructive and don't just bash the OP. It's about being considerate of others, I can find a new source if that's the matter. I understand where others are coming from in regards to moderation, and I agree with it. I practice that myself, and think a lot of…
  • This is true, but I think at the same time people don't know how to eat a balanced diet and eat junk all day, just smaller portions of it. You have to have a sustainable diet for long term success in weight loss, but it seems like people can just go all out crazy randomly without understanding why they had to have whatever…
  • Sorry, I thought it could be helpful to someone since I saw so many things about cravings and binge eating. If people don't have nice things to say that are supportive to others, can you please not say anything at all? If you don't agree, that's fine, but making snarky comments about things people put up on a forum that…
  • The idea of the body needing specific nutrients is pretty well supported. Have you never heard that you may think you're hungry, and your body is telling you to eat, but in actuality you are dehydrated? I'm surprised by the ignorance of some people jumping to conclusions about their personal health and not being open to…
  • I don't think it really matters. I eat 3 meals and 2-3 snacks during the day (fruits, veggies, nuts, etc.) I think it's more about keeping your metabolism up and not eating too much at once. If you're concerned about eating too much at once, try snacking some on healthy food (baby carrots, apples, grapes, cherry tomatoes,…
  • Saw that coming because I have read the books, but it was more disturbing to see on TV than to read it! Some neat storylines coming up though. :) Want to see the Sand Snakes.
  • Things like a pinch of salt and most seasonings (simple herbs and spices) I don't include. Things like oil in the pan to prevent sticking, yes. If you add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan, include it to the recipe. This is because even though you aren't frying your food, it still coats it and you do ingest it. If you are…
  • Calories and nutrition go hand in hand. A cupcake would be satisfying for all of the 5 seconds it takes to eat it, but will it keep you full? Not likely. Those sorts of foods should be eaten sparingly. Maybe once a week. Sure, calories in and calories out makes a lot of sense for weight loss, but for overall health it's…
  • I used to live in the Dallas area. Raised in Plano. :)
  • I experienced that as well, but it usually goes away after the first few real workout sessions. It will go away once you get your body used to working out again. :)
  • In May I lost about 8lbs. End of March to April I lost about 10lbs. It depends on a lot of variables. :)
  • I weigh myself in the morning after using the restroom, before I work out and have breakfast. I weigh every day so I can track and see my overall trend, but many people weigh the same time each week.
  • I used to put a little bit of sugar on it when I was a kid. Other than that I dunno, I like eating plain rice.
  • Yes. :) It's basically just like 'infused water'. You still get the hydration benefits. So even though there are various arguments, I'd go ahead and add it! As long as it's plain tea.
  • Yep! Although if I work out and burn around 350 calories I typically up my intake to 1500 or so calories. Feel free to look at my diary, it's not perfect but it's pretty accurate.
  • You guys are bringing up a lot of great angles. I guess from my personal struggles with food rewards starting as a kid, I took it at that as opposed to just face value "sad kid, don't worry you're still worth something, cheer up". I'm not playing the blame game, my weight is my responsibility, was just curious what…
  • By the way, I completely understand from the business aspect, I'm a marketing professional. I am more interested in the social aspect of what everyone here feels. I didn't ask about business performance and sales initiatives.
  • That's awesome!!! Always feels great when you can overcome that urge to grab something only because it's tasty and convenient. Remember how you feel now for next time you have a temptation. :)
  • I love dill pickles too! We get the giant jar from Costco for like 4 bucks. Worth it.
  • Great job, guys! Be confident in who you are at this moment, and look forward to the gains you will make on your journey. You all look awesome.
  • Also just to add to what I posted above, you want to eat very little sodium and refined sugars to prevent any water weight hanging around. Drink lots of water and only water, tea, coconut water, etc. Don't drink juice either unless you have made it yourself in a juicer. These aren't for every day, but just great for any…
  • Not healthy, but doable. Lots of vegetables.
