Great job, guys! I know 10 is hard, but sometimes you have to really dig deep for the last ones to come to your mind. If you don't have 10, that's fine!!! I love what everyone is saying, you guys are awesome. :flowerforyou:

Great job on your progress!!! Don't feel too bad about it, vacations are supposed to be fun. Just a tip, don't go into a vacation thinking "I WON'T CHEAT!", instead go into a vacation thinking "Yeah I may not lose weight while on vacation, but I will just make sure I don't gain much." That way you are driven to make…

Don't worry, it's not the end of the world! :) You'll get back on your feet in no time, you've put in too much time and effort to stop now. As for the 1200 calories, that's what I set mine. Always look at 1200 calories as the MINIMUM you should consume! If you come out 100 calories over each day, it's not the end of the…

Honestly, the stretchmarks have never really bothered me in regards to weight loss. I have a good amount I want to lose, but I figured once I lose it and tone up, they'd probably be less noticeable to me than they are now. Just remember, this isn't only about weight loss. This is about health, too.

Nice to know! A couple of new shoes I got feel a bit snug, but I think once I continue to be healthier and lose weight they'll be more comfy. :) Ultimately, I have about 30 more pounds to lose, 15 after this current goal, so we shall see.

This may seem a bit obvious, but I set time-related goals. Like "Okay going to workout 4x a week every week this month!". Or "Okay for the next 2 weeks I am cooking healthy dinners!" For some reason that works for me, because I am competitive and want to hit those goals. When I wake up I think of working out as a job, not…

People who won't accept you for who you are really are not 'friends'. Unfortunately you can't pick your family either, or your name. I moved to NZ for college and lost a couple of friends because of that. It hurt, but overall I am happier doing what I really want as opposed to just settling and giving in to what other…

For the breakfast buffet, just make healthier choices. More fresh fruit, eggs, lean protein if available. For the reception and cake and stuff, don't feel obligated to eat everything on your plate. A few polite tastes are fine. As for your parents... They're going to do that they think is right for you, no matter what you…

Great video! Interesting to see, and I'm happy he demonstrated it the way he did, as that much taken from all over the body isn't anything to be upset about. I know I get discouraged when I don't see results right away, but it takes time!

I'm in the process of using less sugar. Basically, figure out what you do right now with your sugar and use half. Keep the creamer the same for now. At first it will taste bitter, but once you get to the last sip you won't remember! After about a month, try half creamer. If it's too bitter you can wean it out more slowly.…

You're welcome! There is always hope. :) Don't get rid of your old shoes just yet!
-
Wow guys! Nice to see I'm not the only one. Maybe there's hope for my big feet yet. Haha!

It's so crazy! How much weight (or % body fat) did you lose for that to happen?
-
I totally understand, I went shopping yesterday and felt like crap about it! I ended up empty-handed. But hey, just look at it as most motivation! Be happy with the success you've had so far. Maybe to shake things up, when you're shopping pick up something from your old size and try it on before you try on your current…

Thanks! I figured that might be the case. :) It's interesting how weight is distributed through the body and how it decides to get thinner.

Great job!!! I always read it as O-nederland. If you've seen That Thing You Do, you'd know haha. Always a great feeling to finally see that on the scale. Just remember, ultimately it's not about the numbers, it's about health and happiness! :flowerforyou:

I think sometimes it can come off as pushy and insulting. I know it's not the intention, but people can be VERY sensitive about their weight and it can have the opposite effect. I think the best way is to start with exercise. Just say "Hey you wanna go for a hike with me on Saturday?" or something like that. My friend was…

I have a food scale that I use, but there are guides to give you a rule of thumb about portion control. Check this one out: http://melissasfitnessclub.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/hw_handportionchart_1222.jpg One thing that helps me is to try and think of food as FUEL. It's energy. If you give a high performance car…

Here's my philosophy on junk food: All food is fine in moderation. Plan for it, set those calories aside, and enjoy it. If you know McDonald's is your weakness, make that something you strive to fit into your diet every 2 weeks, otherwise it won't be sustainable once you lose the weight. You'll be DYING to go get some…

I am mentally preparing for a vacation in a month, and I think the main thing is: ENJOY IT!!! Don't stress. :) As for continuing losing weight while on vacation, don't expect to be perfect. Make healthy choices. Look up nutrition facts before you go to a restaurant so you can make conscious choices. Eat fruit and…

"It's about the journey, not the destination." Helps me to do well every day, not just focus on my goal and get discouraged. :)

Just a tip after reading about your day off, sometimes for me it's boredom eating when I get like that. What works for me is saying "Okay, I'll pick up a bit around the house (sort laundry, mop the floor, clean the bathtub, etc), and if I'm still hungry I can eat something then." That way I'm not just munching…

String cheese. Hard boiled eggs. Clif Bars. Almonds and walnuts. Canned tuna or chicken with light crackers.
-
It varies for me... Coconut water, a banana, carrots, cherry tomatoes, apple slices... I typically like fresh fruit or vegetables more than nuts, because I can eat more of them.
-
I bring coconut water to help stay hydrated and curb munching cravings from boredom. As for meals, you can make those salad mason jars and they should pack pretty well in the coolers. I make bbq pulled chicken the night before to have as sandwiches, or you can just eat it without the bread. Kinda running short of ideas,…

You're welcome! :flowerforyou: We're all in this together! It sucks sometimes, but c'est la vie.

Don't feel too bad about it, just get moving! :) Things happen all of the time that throw us off guard, and now you know to plan better for next time. Good job staying accountable for it!

The one I really hate is when I buy a new dress or something, and my mom says "I love it, it's so slimming on you!". Why is 'slimming' a compliment? Automatically it makes me feel like a blimp otherwise, and all the rest of my clothes are horrible on me. I would feel a lot better if people would just say "That's a nice…

Soda has sodium :) Thanks guys! Gonna make some green tea now haha.
