I've had go to gluten-free (actually most grain-free) in order to have a difference. And now if I gluten myself I have a horrible attack of it. It took a few days to even itself out.

Awesome job!!!

I know it sounds odd - but using a straw helps me. I tend to drink more and faster out of a straw.

The side effects do go away - usually within about a month. Seems like a long time, but I think once it evens out it's fine. I, personally, have been on it about a year and haven't seen much difference with weight loss - albeit I haven't really been trying too hard. I haven't gained any - just maintained. I take it for…

Just started gluten-free on Saturday - so I'm on day 4. So far so good, but always looking for more ideas and looking for recipes!!

Me too! I'm 5'3" with a starting weight of 229. I did well for a few months and lost 14# then I got busy and stressed and stopped. Then gained 6# back in two months. Now I'm at 214.8. Want to get to 140ish.

I agree with looking at your food diaries - I don't think you're eating enough to sustain you especially due to the calories you're exhausting with Zumba! You can do it! More protein and fruit/veg!

I have Hypothyroidism. And weight loss is SLOW even medicated. The medications take forever to level you out and my numbers fluctuate like crazy.

I also work a desk job but I'm in court a lot. I try to pack stuff the night before and then it's easier for me. I also have a little fridge and microwave in my office. I generally eat 3 "meals" a day and snacks. 8a - Jimmy Dean's D'Light's breakfast sandwich 10a - fruit of some kind (usually a banana or grapefruit) 11:30a…

You can totally do it! Start slow with food adjustments. And to be honest, you may be hungry at first, and that's ok. It's a struggle the first few days, but after that it becomes a new "new" for you. I'd like to friend you to show you some support! I have a heck of a time too! So I understand!

All awesome ideas! I love grilling. I do like crockpot stuff too but sometimes it gives an odd aftertaste.

I too have PCOS & Hypothyroid - grr. I am feeling more motivated now that I see you guys talking about Metformin. I may need to check into that. I have a heck of a time. I lost about 1 pound a week since January 1st. So I guess that's good/normal. It is very very slow though. I have a hard time getting in activity most…

I have that problem too. Maybe not always explosive, but definitely GI issues. I think it's because our bodies get used to us eating the "correct" things and then we try something higher in fat/calories and it throws us for a loop. I've actually noticed that my "stools" are harder now that I eat better - which is a good…

Wow! Awesomely amazing! Congrats!!

You're doing great! Keep up the good work! Good advice here that I'm definitely going to consider too!

Nope I sure haven't. I usually don't use sweeteners.

WW is $40/month on the monthly pass. It's not that bad, but really what you're getting out if it is access to their e-tools (similar to this), a weekly weigh in (which you can do on your own with a reliable scale), validation, and support (can get it online too). I really do like WW and feel it's a good program, but I also…
