not all peppers are from the nightshade family only bell peppers. Get Kimchi that is in the refrigerator section or at the Asian market. Kimchi by its very nature has peppers in it

By the very fact you are posting is asking for comments. While be a vegan can be a good thing, what the others are saying is right. You can't lose that much weight on any diet and gain muscle mass. That is a fact Jack!

the weight gain from medication is complex and sometimes it is not CICO. The immune suppressants I was on for 3 years affected my ability to lose weight weight a year of being off them I have lost over 30 lbs. I am do it slowly and easily. Somethings are just not so simple.

I tend to lose weight easier in the winter. I hold fluid in the summer and chant get out when it is in the 90's

Sodium is not a bad thing and it is in fact important to your health. Some people need to reduce their sodium for health reasons. To have no salt added to food is unappetizing and unnecessary.

I do watch my fat intake and could not eat ice cream for about a year after my GB surgery. There is no special diet except to avoid what bothers you. I was happy to lose my GB no more pain after many years.

for some people it is genetic and all the moderation you can do won't work. I do agree with a fish oil supplement.

I eat plenty of vegetables as they are low cal and can fill me up. I do it Korean style I make several different kinds and my protein is the same value on the table as the veggies. So I still eat meat but it is not the main dish. I love eating this was. 4 or 5 different dishes some are cooked ahead some are cooked right…

My diet has little to do with my cholesterol but there are other factors that do. I try to control those factors plus add garlic, chilies, oily fish and exercise. That helped a good bit. Watching your weight in general may help too
