I'm thinking about trying it. I'm still trying to gather information so I go into knowing what I'm doing/what to expect. Are you eating 500 calories on your fast days? What I read said you should eat all of the calories you would burn on your "feast days" - so whatever your TDEE is. When did you start doing the diet?

Sometimes I have 2 toasted slices of Udi's bread - white or whole grain - with 1 oz of cheese melted on it. That's about 250 calories. You can add cucumber or tomato for only a few more calories. It's fast and tasty and sticks with you for a while.

If you happen to be somewhere they're available, Cookies Con Amori (http://www.cookieswithlove.com) makes fabulous GF Italian cookies and my current favorite, Linzer Tart cookies. Not low-cal, but a treat! For everyday treat, I spread a tiny bit of Trader Joe's Creamy Peanut Butter on sliced apple.

Wow! I am so pleased to see so many people 50+. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I signed up earlier today. I'm 57 and couldn't agree more with the challenges of losing post-menopause. It's not just losing though - I find I eat emotionally now and I never did that before. I don't eat poorly - I just eat too much.…
