wow...you look phenomenal!

how about upper body? Bench press, bicep curls, tricep extentions...To be honest, 3 weeks isn't that long, better to heal properly rather than to set yourself back further!!:)

canned tuna, if you don't want the mayo, add some salsa (peach is my favorite)

One of the funniest memes I read said " If my body is ever found dead on a jogging trail, just know I was murdered elsewhere and dumped there."

ezekial bread, eggs, veggie burgers.

This really really does work. You just have to be patient and committed. The best advice I can give you is to read, learn, and work on logging as accurately as you can. This is the most valuable information you can get in one link:…

I would not give yourself a deadline to lose the weight. As long as the scale is moving down, it doesn't matter how long it takes. I lost 45 lbs, it took me about 8 months. Some weeks I lost 2 lbs, others it would take 3 weeks to drop .5 ( I always used my lowest recorded weight as my next goal) I agree with gia...learn to…

Do you mind me asking you how old you are? You look in your early 30's in before pic...now you look around 19!! You have accomplished something very few people do! Congratulation!!

My lunch is usually dinner leftovers so I just use quick tools to carry it over. Breakfast is usually the same or I figure that out ahead of time. Dinner can be left up in the air. I wait until I see what I am in the mood for and how many calories/how much protein I need.
-
Karen...that's amazing! Good for you!

Mental results are immediate. I didn't see physical results until I lost 45 lbs, then those little muscles I had worked on began to pop out. I have been doing CrossFit for about 2 years and see little improvements here and there (almost at a pull up...may never quite get there) At my age I just feel priviledged to be able…

I just translate this (I have heard it before) as a way to motivate girls to focus on health and fitness, not just be as thin as they can be. I have some friends on here trying to get by on 500 calories/day..I wish they would focus on being fit over being skinny. May not be the most politically correct expression, but I…

I totally disagree with the numbers this article gave. It says: "Adult women need, on average, 46 grams of protein a day, while adult men need about 56 grams" Maybe if you are 90 yrs old and sitting in your rocker all day. I think this is way too little, especially for those who do weight training. As time goes on they are…

going to my gym which always has a new different workout with trainers/ people I look forward to seeing. Before that I pretty much hated exercise.

^ This. You don't owe anyone an explanation or response. This is for you and no one else. This is for your happiness, no one else's. You don't have to explain what you are or are not eating, (and as you lose weight, people will begin observing this more) When people asked me how I did it I would say "counting calories" and…

MFP expects you to eat your exercise calories back. So that 1200 calories is BEFORE exercise. If I burn 200 calories, I add that to the 1200. If you are in "weight loss" mode I would be careful how many exercise calories you eat back.

Read this link, then read it again, and again. Think of this as a learning process, have fun with it. Don't make it a chore. I love reading MFP and have learned so much by spending time on here, there is no better place to start then reading this link Here is another great link: I know it seems like a lot of reading, but…

I hear a lot of bad "doctor" advice on here. Yours seems like a keeper. Just wanted to add I tried the whole super low carb thing...it didn't work for me. I found just having that slice of bread or half cup of rice, pasta was what my body needed so I didn't crave them in excess. I was the same (and still am) with chips. I…

HI...so your post should read cutting out "refined" carbs... It sounds like your doctor is giving you good advice. Always try and have protein in your meals. When I was pre diabetic, I decided to just go with a calorie deficit. That worked, then I began substituting the white carbs with the healthier carbs. Brown,…

I read it, I give a crap :) Sounds like you know what you are doing this time..when I read about the shakiness I was going to tell you to up your protein but, your protein seems to be good. I used to get shaky when I had blood sugar issues...have you had that checked out??

This is very dependent on age(and present weight)....at 50 years old, this may change for you

It may not cease to exist but it would certainly not be as strong. It is a constant daily motivator, and I look forward to hearing what they say or seeing what they're doing. roberta.saum on IG is a MFP'er who says something every day which strikes a chord with me.
-
I follow many people on Instagram who do constant gym/flexing selfies. I find these are the people who keep me on track, give great advice, and I also find them to be surprisingly humble.

you beat me to it..I love my misto!! Another option would be to just leave the oil off, I can just go with balsalmic or ingredients which flavor the lettuce such as a couple green olives, roasted peppers, salsa...
-
^ this is exactly what I do...

This could also lead you to be so hungry you say forget it and binge, derailing any progress you make doing it the right way. Those 2- 500 calorie days would be brutal...

I am 49, 5'4" and weigh 130. I got down to 126 but did not feel I looked good and seemed unsustainable. As is, I am a size 2. Most of these numbers seem too low. Based on the Robinson formula (1983), your ideal weight is 123.0 lbs Based on the Miller formula (1983), your ideal weight is 129.1 lbs Based on the Devine…

That doesn't happen to me but I have heard your body has to get used to protein in larger amounts I am in no way an expert and you should check with your doctor/nutritionist. But I say "Heck yes!!" Diabetics should consume a diet higher in protein/low in sugar and refined carbs. I was diabetic and my diet is mostly protein…

I loved how at the end Chris Powell emphasized it was not about being skinny, it was about being fit and strong. I loved that message...her arms looked great!

I drink Gold Standard Whey protein. I drink it in addition to my meals to get my protein in so one scoop is 120 calories and 24 grams of protein. Sometimes I use milk, sometimes water(yuk) if I have gone over my calories. That is a very low calorie meal and will allow you to have a little something yummy along with it!! If…
