Eat the calories burned. 1200 should be your net goal, so calories eaten minus calories burned should equal 1200. You will see your diary does the equation for you. Thats what I have been doing and I am losing just over 2lb per week

Have a row with your boss. Raises heart rate

Generous compared to what? Hrm will be the most accurate way to measure. All other ways are based on averages of average people. Don't forget though it gives you gross calories burned. So let's say you do an hours exercise, hrm says you have burned 500 calories. Some of those calories you would have burned anyway as part…

So true!

Please someone help?
-
Drink loads of water
-
Ashton Kutcher did this as preparation for his role as Steve Jobs in the biopic and ended up being hospitalised. Google it

I eat an extra 200 or so calories the day before to help of complex carbs that are slow burning
-
Hell yes. I have loaded an extra 20kg on my leg presses due to being over competitive with other people. That's why I use the gym and do other exercise in a club so the I can be pushed!

I am also 32, albeit for only 2 more days, I do interval training and it is not unusual for my heart rate to ping up in the high 180s. When I first started intervals, it would go up higher, max recorded was 204. Theoretical maximum is just that, theoretical based on averages of average people

Whoa, is like looking at mother and daughter! Sending hugs xxx
-
I learned to use warm water on my heart rate strap so it doesn't freeze me when I put it on!
-
What country are you in! Makes big difference in terms of makes and models available
-
Crikey, neither did I! I have been using hrm on and off for years and have just winced when I put the strap on. Every day is a school day!
-
You look really cute and the colour is great on you
-
Do not mess with your back Has to be all about low impact. So swimming, elliptical trainer, stretch carefully before and after. Get a good physio to give you exercises. I neglected a back injury which is a massive part of why I now have so much weight to use.
-
The advantage of getting one now you are already in a calorie counting habit is that you should remember to use it because you need to know the cals
-
I like you! Ah, yes, press start. All guilty of that mistake!
-
I brush my teeth first too. Don't want no overnight plaque buildup adding to my weight!
-
Change your overall activity level to sedentary and then wear it for all exercise. When it comes to finishing an exercise, don't stop it until your heart rate is below 100 again Don't look at it every 2 minutes during exercise! It is slightly behind what is actually happening, so just check at the end. Have fun!

Done. 200 normal, 100 reverse
-
Did this, took it a bit far... 2 hours :-)

Bump Anyone?

Speak to a trainer at the gym and get them to give you a weights programme. We can give you generic advice on this site, but weights is quite a personal thing depending on your current strength and capabilities Important thi g to remember is that you should be pushing your muscles to failure over 2 or 3 sets of 12-15 reps

150 done, 150 to go
-
Yes use hrm not the database. Database is pretty inaccurate unless you are the worlds most average average person.

So the boobs aren't an issue. I have 34ff and wear a hrm no problem. Boobs might be an issue if you are not wearing a decent sports bra. I have ones that frankly are a feat of engineering so nothing moves and the chest strap sits right below the strap of the bra. FYI I use freya under wired active or shock absorber. Both…

Off to the gym now and will try accordingly. See you on the other side!

My tricks are... 2 appetisers. If you don't want to admit to dieting say "all the appetisers look great can't decide so will have two instead of an appetiser and a main" Drink water at all meetings If you are not veggie, learn to love fish, unless battered or breaded will always be lower cals than meat plus has a higher…
