  • The lowest I've been as an adult was 131 so my goal is 130. I went to see my doctor the other day and according to his chart 165 is a "healthy" weight for 5'5".
  • I think MFP considers anything less than 5.0 to be a walk. However, even though my speed is much slower than that I still consider what I'm doing as a run.
  • I know exactly what you're saying. I've been at this now for about six months which is the longest I've ever stuck to any other "plan" before. It will probably take me close to two years to get to where I really want to be. If I look at it as a year and a half to go that sounds really hard but I've truly looked at it as a…
  • bump.... for later
  • I did it last night.....barely. The last five minutes was super slow though. I plan to repeat days and/or weeks that I can't complete on the first try. The main thing for me is to just keep pressing forward. I have never been a runner in my life so all of this is hard for me. I figure that as long as I'm trying then I'm…
  • Just finished W3D3 last night and I'm wondering the same thing. I was so hoping that I would learn to love running but I'm not convinced yet. I am determined to finish the program and have signed up for one 5k already and considering another one. I'm also hoping that by losing at least 50 or more pounds will make it easier…
  • Will do W1D3 tomorrow. So far I have survived it all but I have never been a runner so just the idea of this is challenging to me. Have already registered for color vibe run in November and considering one for June. I doubt I will be ready by then but I can always give it a shot. Would love to have more buddies!!!!
  • My husband and I started week 1 day 1 today and we both miraculously survived. I am sooo out of shape and have never been a runner in my life so this ought to be interesting. We signed up for our first 5k in november so we have a lot of getting ready to do over the next several months. Would love to have more MFP friends…
  • Would love to have more MFP friends!!!! SW. 220 CW. 195.4 GW. 130 5' 5 1/2"
  • We go by Sweet Frog or Yahzee for frozen yogurt almost every Friday night.... YUM!! I usually get the sugar free vanilla or strawberry with fruit toppings.... soooo goood!! I used to eat a bowl of ice cream for an evening snack almost every day but now I get a bowl of sherbet instead. I will still have ice cream (Blue…
  • I have not been at this long so I don't have a big success story YET but I am 5' 5 1/2" with a SW of 220, CW of 203 and a GW of 130 so that is a total of 90 overall. Would love to have more MFP friends with common goals!!!!!!!!
  • I think the lowest I have been as a post-two-children adult was 170 pounds and I got there by going to the gym several times a week but didn't really change my eating habits at all. My husband and I joined MFP just a couple of months ago and I have already lost around 15 pounds so far. I have done this by (1) counting…
  • My MFP friends are encouraging but honestly they do not really know me on a personal level. Getting encouragement from strangers who are going through the same journey with you is very nice to have but my absolute best support system is my husband!! He and I are doing this together. We meal plan, shop and prepare foods…
  • I weigh every morning when I wake up, after going to the bathroom and [naked] before I get in the shower or have any coffee, etc. That way the "conditions" are fairly consistent. I step onto the scale 2 to 3 times to make sure the number is the same each time. I only record new lows onto MFP but keep up with my Friday…
  • YYYYYEEESSSSS!!!!!!! I thought at first that it was due to going up and down the attic stairs a million times on Monday but I'm starting to wonder if I'm aggravating it by doing one of the excercises wrong. I had to totally modify the jumping jacks and any other high impact moves on Tuesday and Wednesday because it hurt…
  • I am excited to move on to see something different. I haven't mastered level 1, but looking for change. My feelings are pretty sure that I won't master any of the levels this 1st time around, but I will always give it my all. Then....... I will probably go back to it and start from the beginning alternating the levels.…

  • You can add me if you would like. I joined MFP on January 2nd and have lost 10 ponds so far by keeping track of my calories and trying to walk a mile or two on most days. I usually walk on my morning and afternoon breaks at work but don't always get it done during the weekends. I also started 30DS last Sunday. There are…
  • I will need to double up tomorrow since I couldn't do anything today. I have somehow picked up a stomach virus and I don't think jumping around will help my situation today. Has anyone else done two sessions on the same day?
  • I haven't noticed any loss in that area but I would be soooooo happy!!! Even a reduction didn't get them as "small" as I would like them to be. I'm hoping that weight loss will naturally shrink them!
  • Yep. My 8 year old loves it and freely volunteers. He does it even when I'm not around. Wish I could enjoy it like he does.
  • Well I finished it and it wasn't as bad as I had it figured in my head. I got a lot further today than before thanks to the tip about muting the Tv and putting on my Pandora station. Question...... I put in 20 minutes of circuit training general as suggested and it came back with 257 calories burned. Does that sound…

  • I will be doing day 3 in just a few minutes so I don't have anything to report on that yet but I do have a question.... Am I the only one here that has not yet been able to totally complete the daily workout? I guess I'm probably doing about 75% or so. Who would have thought that it would be stupid jumping jacks and jump…

  • What size hand weights are recommended?
  • Is it easier to send/receive friend requests for this kind of thing or for someone to create a group for it??? That's a LOT of friend requests!!! I would love to join something like this too!!
  • I have only been doing this for a month and up until today have been weighing everyday. However, because I am easily frustrated I decided that I will weigh in only on Fridays and take measurements on the first day of each month. I will assess my progress based on how I feel and how my clothes fit.
  • First of all.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! Would you say that you contribute your success to WW or to MFP or to just changing your lifestyle in general?
