I eat about 1200 cals a day, give or take...I get hungry about every 4 hours and I try to keep my meals and snacks high in protein and fiber to keep me fuller longer. Ideas: fish, string cheese, greek yogurt, high protein/high fiber cereal (Kashi Go Lean) and green apples.

^^^ this ^^^ Im a big smoothie fan. I use it for breakfast with protein powder and stay pretty full. And its a great way to get in all the fruits and veggies you might not get otherwise. Good luck! There are tons of great recipes out there.

I too just accept that there will be times when Im hungry and hope that as my body adjusts, the feeling will fad. Im also try to ensure I get enough water too, as not to mistake dehydration for hunger. Overall, I think that when we are eating what we want and not working out and generally not taking good care of ourselves,…

I have found that when I don't have any artificial sweeteners for a week or so, I crave food a lot less, making life a bit easier.

I am also on a quest to decrease carbs and increase protein. Not a huge red meat eater, but lean chicken, fish..etc.. are all really high but also take more time to prepare. I think that is my problem. Carb foods are easy and quick.. I just need to plan ahead better. Feel free to add me if you like! I could use some…

I run outside too. I may not wave back or even smile but mostly that's because Im trying to focus on simply just breathing! But really, I never see overweight people jog outside... but who knows, maybe some of those fit people used to be overweight.. and they got fit by running.. outside.

Purchasing Agent - The lunches are what kills me. For years I have gone out to lunch with various suppliers and now find it refreshing to just schedule around my lunch instead of feeling guilty for going. And yes, candy dishes, free food.. lunch meetings. with pizza.... its difficult. Generally I just bring my own lunch..…

I gave up soda and all artificial sweeteners - and I was drinking 12 - 12oz cans of dt sodas a day - at least. It was hard.. but I have been going strong since jan 1. What I found amazing was how all that artificial sweetener f'ed up my taste buds.. and how it made me crave sweets constantly. For me, the caffeine…

Agree - rest time is so important.. at least 1 day out of 7. You need time for your muscles to repair, it helps prevent fatigue and injury from overuse. You can still stay active on a rest day - just do something light - like a walk, swimming or biking - just keep it easy and relaxing - and then you can still get in your…
