I am doing zumba and calisthenics at home. I walk at the park. I take the stairs rather than elevator and I'm no longer eating as much fast food. (though I did go to Wendy's yesterday and had a healthy and delicious grilled chicken and apple salad. In the old days that would've been a burger and fries. No wonder I got fat)

I'm so new to this and naive that I had to google NSV. I could sort of figure it by context clues but wanted to know what the initials stood for, so if there's anyone who like me doesn't know, it's Non-Scale victory. Congrats to everyone sharing theirs. Continue the good work.

I love coming to this site, seeing before/after pics, success stories and reading of these challenges. They keep me motivated. scale was on the move down again today. yay. So here I go off to squat some more :)

I hear you. They are truly valid feelings. I tend to loose motivation at times, especially if the scale isn't moving as fast as I like. but then I come to sites like this, look at before/after photos, and read of success and know if those real people can, so can I. So can you. You can still go out and party with friends,…

As soon as I get off this site I'll go do some squats. Chuckling about the badonkadonk comment. I have scoliosis, a curvature in my spine, and so my butt already sticks out. I'm a white gal who's son says I have a black gals' booty. :) I'm hoping the squats strengthen my legs though.

I can do sit ups/crunches, but the rest isn't good for someone who had a broken wrist. :( Im not strong enough to do one handed push-ups. I was trying to do modified ones of those at the beginning of last week, but dropped it after 3 days. I guess I'll stick to diet and more cardio, less strength training.

still 173.2 No change this week. My own fault. I didn't exercize as much as I did wk one when I lost a bunch, and I even ate some junk. Coming back to this site is the kick in the pants I need to work out today.

Congratulations on your loss. You are doing awesome, and I have to say, I like your taste in clothes!

Odd as it seemed to me, I noticed a difference yesterday in my neck/chin. Usually it would be my cheekbones or my waist. I can't wait until my theighs shrink, but that is usually last. I've heard it said a lot of people loose from top to bottom.

numbers on scale fluxuate with water weight anyhow (and women's monthly cycle) so how your jeans fit will let you know if you are loosing. Great to hear you are going to continue, and come the end of Feb, you'll have a huge loss to see and share..

I just danced (Zumba) for 1/2 hour so I know I burned off a slice. (actually I am not all that keen on cheesecake, but for the same calories I can pretend I burned off a whole box of jr mints) :D

I've been doing Zumba by dvd and loving it. I don't think I've had a leotard since the 80's, but you are rocking yours, great job! As for the phone calls I'd have left them, knowing that's what an answering machine/voice mail is for.

I was dealing with the same thing (TOM though I call it Aunt Flo came visiting. yes TMI for some), and was disappointed that I couldn't loose, in fact it went up for a couple days due to water weight Ended the week at 173.2 Last week was excited with 173.4 because I'd lost 3.6 that week. Funny how even though it's slightly…

off to drink some water and do cardio now. (this is easier than pushups since I have an injured wrist). Week one was good. I welcome week 2.
-
so are we supposed to do this new push-up challenge in addition to keeping week one's challenges continuing? I suck at push-ups but will try it. would love to improve my arm strength. I suppose a week of push-ups will be a good start.
-
started challenge @177#. Now 173.4 = 3.6# loss in one week! WOW! so all the effort was worth it after all.
-
I've been thinking of this post all week and drinking more water than I used to, but it's good. I've also been exercizing. The first few days was walking a couple miles and yesterday and today I tried a beginners zumba dvd. love it! That along with the no sugar, and I hope to see great results.

my name wasn't there. will it alphabetize me if I just add myself into the last slot?
-
Breakfast for me will be oatmeal, skim milk and an all natural fruit leather.

oh wow, 2 challenges at once now. I thought we were going to get one a week. well, so far so good. Yesterday (monday) I quickly walked 2.5 miles at the park not lollygagging, and I drank a lot of water. Didn't measure it, but since it was day 1 of the challenge I decided to do a 36hour liquid only fast which actually ends…

I'm in starting tomorrow the 7th which actually starts in only 2hrs. I am so glad fruits are allowed bc they are healthy natural sugars, and there are other good qualities in fruits like bananas' potassium, vit c in oranges, fiber in apples etc. Also I am thankful for the diet coke allowance b/c I would get migraines if I…

SW:177:frown: GW: ?? ultimately I'd like to loose 44# I think since I'll be turning 44 in Feb, that'll bring me down to 133 which seems healthy. For this challenge probably more likely reach a goal of 160-165 since 1-2# loss per week is healthy.

I just found this site today, and with it being a new year and this challenge starting in 4 days, it sounds perfect.:flowerforyou: So where do I go to post starting/progress? This is 10 wks... meaning March 17th to post an after?
