I am currently unable to work out "regularly" due to a back injury, so I've been counting my calories and I lost 4 lbs earlier this month, but this week none. I was disappointed so I took my measurements and I lost a half inch from my hips, waist, boobs, and butt! Better than nothing! Hoping I can fit into my size 4…

Thanks so much everyone! I just did an unnecessary bone scan, so I have to revisit the same doctor a few weeks from now. If he doesn't help I'll go back to my general practitioner and see if she'll refer me elsewhere. I'm also going to try to see if my school has a yoga class. Does anyone have experience with decompression…

Thanks everyone. My only issue is I'm not sure if it /will/ heal. It's been 7 months with no noticeable improvement and I'm scared to make it worse. Ladynocturne - yoga/pilates sounds great! I didn't even think about it. When I asked my doc what activities I could do he said "don't." Which to me seems ridiculous. Suziepoo-…

Hmm.. being a teenage girl, I understand what she's going through. I've felt "fat" for a long time, even though I'm in the right weight range for my height/age (though I could still stand to lose a few pounds and tone up). What helped me with not wanting to eat was my mom educating me on starvation mode, and how eating…

I did this race in May! It was so fun, but it rained so some parts of the trail were literally impossible to run due to the sheer amount of slippery mud. My time was 43 mins (but my dad and I waited for his gf to catch up for a good 5, plus waiting in line for obstacles) and I got 63 in my age group, 1886 out of somewhere…

I'm not sure how I manage getting up so early.. I just know in my head how guilty I'll feel later if I don't do it since evenings are so hot here, too. And just knowing how bad I'll feel gets me up and running =P Plus, I basically have anywhere I go to myself as no one else is up as early as me to exercise.

Hi! I'm Julie, and I just started here myself after taking a bit of a break. I know how hard it is to stay motivated. I also know about awful weather.. it's in the upper 90's where I live. What I do is get up at 7 and go for a walk or a jog with my dog. She's a great motivater herself =) So, if you aren't opposed to…

Oh, that's a really good idea! I never thought of the pictures thing.. I'm gonna have to try it out. Sadly, I don't have any friends that can come to the gym with me.. Being in high school with strict parents makes it hard to get together to go do anything, much less exercise. A friend and I have decided to start running…

Awesome. I'm doing the one in GA in May. Been training up for it! Just hit the 3 mile mark again.

Week one down for me too.. I only lost 3 though. Still, it's something! Congrats, everyone!
