I kind of wish I didn't know how brilliant MFP used to be. I guess everything dies. RIP MFP. Without the newsfeed I see no point in your existence - other apps exist that are way less buggy. At least you could have fixed the bugs and broken bits rather than taking away an integral feature that actually worked.

Just a comment - there are 2 fluid ounces of rolled oats logged. Which aren't a liquid, and even if that was 2 ounces of rolled oats it would be far more than 67 calories. That's wonky.

Hi, I get what you're worried about, but please don't panic yet. I'm a Kiwi, I lost 70+ kg a few years back (and I've put some back on.) I was really worried about loose skin, particularly as I was in my late 30s, had been obese since childhood and had a full-term twin pregnancy while I was near my top weight (they were…

So, I sweet-talked IT at work into letting me have two monitors for home because I WFH about half the time. I bribed them with cake... so then I had to make cake. I decided to go with chocolate cupcakes, and then I decided that calorie-wise I was fine and could eat one. Which was fine, tasted great, except I hardly eat…

Sunday weigh in... this site really needs a converter-bot or something because I forget the conversions when I have to put everything in here on weigh day. It's so late Sunday night here that it's almost Monday morning. NZ has 3 new cases of community transition Covid, and not really sure where they came from. I realise…

I wish I hadn't looked at that link - Built Bars look awesome. Can't find a trace of them in NZ however. 😆

Me too. And a few months ago I had a man who looked okay, open profile - but once I added him I got the "dead wife, worked on an oil rig but living in Texas, I'm so lonely - hey let's take this to WhatsApp" etc scam.

@debbiewsharpe It’s a local brand bar I think - called INC Max Shred Pro. They have a bunch of protein powders and products, one of their powders tastes like chocolate pudding. 😄 In theory the max shred has a thermogenic in it, if you count green tea extract to be thermogenic 🤣 I just like it because it's cheap and tastes…

xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Weigh in week 2 PW: 247.3 (112.2 kg) CW: 245.5 (111.4 kg) LTD: 93.9 lbs (42.6 kg) Last Week The scales are up and down, but you all know they're finicky. They'll be fluctuating because I've upped my sodium intake a bit because I'm terrible at consuming it, I don't add salt to anything and most of my…
-
@podperson1 this might be obvious, but is your floor completely level? My house is 40+ years old and all the floors are slightly wonky. My scale changes my weight if I move it a cm either way. Also it's not on carpet, right? That would play havoc as well.
-
🤣🤣🤣 The scale is definitely a lying *kitten*. All it shows is your relationship with gravity at any given point. And so many reasons why it fluctuates! Definitely do not weigh after eating anything! Also I just want to mention that cheesecake - icing?!?!? Cheesecake used to be my favourite food, but I have never seen one…

After I lost 160+ lbs, I used intuitive eating to maintain my loss for a couple of years. And I did maintain without any issues, until everything went pear-shaped on me because of other reasons. Also part of my ED recovery was to practice eating intuitively, I was banned from tracking calories for ages, and I kept my…

Intro to follow - I've been a bit MIA and missed last week's weigh-in. I had a migraine and a very large work-load at work (that's not going to change any time soon) and I kind of just didn't log into the community. I think I'll just start again for Feb... xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Weigh day; Sunday PW: 245.5 CW: 247.3 (112.2kg)…

I used to have one when I was over 300 lbs and I used it most days. I had horrible balance, but that got better as I lost weight and exercised more. I was able to use the rebounder just fine though, it was a really good workout - I used to just hop on it and do 5 mins when I could throughout the day. I combined that with…

xX_phoenixrising_Xx Week 3 weigh in Day: Sunday PW 246.6 (111.9 kg) CW 245.5 (111.4 kg) LTD 93.9 (42.6 kg) This past week my goal was to get out of bed at 5.45am every morning before work and get in a spin session. Mission accomplished. I also kept going with my lifting session, in a 3 days on, 1 day off pattern. Wound up…

xX_phoenixrising_Xx Weigh in week 2 Weigh day Sunday PW 247.7 (112.4 kg) CW 246.6 (111.9 kg) Weigh in with some inflammation in my traps, has added 900 grams (2 lbs!) from where I was a few days ago. Good morning team. A bright and sunny Saturday here and I am about to go and bake a cake for my daughter to decorate for my birthday tomorrow. I plan to have some, but not all. Moderation. 😄 I have been practicing breaking bad habits using self-talk. I started with 'just for today' I won't do this - example, random tastes…

xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Weigh in: Week 1 "The reckoning" PW: 244.4 (110.8 kg) CW: 247.7 (112.4 kg) That is not unexpected. Christmas and NY I wasn't tracking closely, and I've also successfully added weight lifting back in to my routine in a 3 day on, 1 day off rotation. So it's not a fat gain, and honestly, if I can maintain…

@sleepymom5 I was just finishing University at the end of 1999, took a few IT papers and fully remember the Y2K kerfuffle. I am LOL at the flashlights! I remember the panic, but also the general consensus in NZ at least that it would most likely be fine. NYE 1999 I went to the beach, stayed until the sun rose and my best…

Hi Ashley @minstrelofsarcasm my highest (non-pregnant) weight was 339.5 lbs / 154 kg. I am very happy that I decided one day to lose some weight! I've been down, up, down, up and down again since then, but I recently decided to track from that number because it's all part of my "journey" (can you feel the face I'm pulling…

So many new members - welcome to all, and a happy new year! It's the morning after the night before here... hello from the future. 2021 has not brought flying cars with it, damn. My daughter (17) went to a NY party last night and needed a pick up at 1am, when we got there she decided to stay the night. But we chilled for a…

It's nice to have someone else from down under (even if it's Australia 😛) Jokes aside, I'm a Kiwi, and I did live in Melbourne for 5 years or so. I don't miss the 40+ C days. I'm in Auckland now, we're in the mid-high 20s C here every day.

Exactly what I was once told and always remembered: your body isn't a rubbish bin, don't eat food just because it's there. It will go to waste either way if you're not hungry and don't need it. Which also reminds me of one shameful moment back when I was 320+ lbs and my kids were little. As many mothers do, I had a habit…

Coastline photos - sometimes my "walks" involve climbing over rocks, along cliffs and through trees. People for scale. I don't know them, but it was immensely fun watching them try to get their dog to climb over the rocks and up that cliff (he apparently doesn't like to swim) Also, I am a Kiwi, I talk to everyone so I know…

Checking in - welcome new members  @cyndiesstuff I've had 7 years of partly diagnosed pain - a couple of diagnosis such as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and chronic migraines, and a general 'chronic pain' and been on a bunch of medications to barely function. I have seen so many doctors and specialists it's now a running…

Also, pics of the cake I made for mum's birthday. We had to drive it the 2 hours there and a few bits slid down the door which I couldn't fix at that point, but I am reasonably happy with it. Mum loved it.

Meri Kirihimete - Merry Christmas! I am finally in bed at midnight after a long day. We got up early and drove the kids and all their (unopened) presents to my mums place 2 hours away. First Xmas day I have had with mum in 9 years I think? She is usually working. We got home around 6pm, ate trifle for dinner (because…
