Shhhhh, I'll tell you a secret. In the middle of the afternoon I like to sneak away from my desk and into the work gym and do some nice peaceful stretching. Ahhhhhh, bliss.

Cycled to and from work. Total 22km (13.6 miles). Big hills in both directions and I finally cycled up all of them. Total calorie burn around 1300 according to my Galaxy watch, which seems accurate given I'm around 270 lbs right now.

@Cafelelia I wish it was muscle going on but sadly it doesn't work that way. Apart from "newbie gains" (which I am not) muscle is incredibly hard to build. It takes months of dedicated exercise as well as eating at a calorie surplus to build muscle. The body can't build muscle from nothing. And even after months of heavy…

xX_phoenixrising_Xx Weigh in week Weigh in day: Monday PW: 269.4 (122.2kg) CW: 270.0 (122.5kg) No surprises here, and not a fat gain. My muscles are soooooo sore from the cycling, I might need to change my weigh in day for next month so I get at least one rest day beforehand. And hopefully also my muscles will adjust! My…

#Monslay check in... Up with the birds, cycled to work. If I ignore the incredibly steep hill right by my house that only electric bikes cycle up, I cycled up every other hill to and from work today. And there are some big ones that just about made me cry to walk up a few weeks back. And that hill by my house is going down…

Checking in... I've been forgetting. I've been under calories with plenty of water and plenty of exercise this week anyway. @sleepymom5 I use TDEE to even out my calories each day, and the calculation includes exercise calories for the week. If it didn't, it would just be the same as using MFP and then adding in exercise…

So I really need to stop falling off my bike. But - fall down 7 times, get up 8? Lol! I'm feeling it today though, I bumped my hip on concrete this morning. What a Wally! I still have to cycle home, but on the plus side I managed all the hills on the way to work, apart from the super steep one right outside my house. But…

@lennoncpa I found it in the whole foods/health foods aisle, but remember I'm in New Zealand. It might be different for you, but then I'm also sure that if I can buy it you'll be able to. If not - It's ground toasted hulled sesame, google gives me recipes for making Tahini - how keen are you? Lol!

I'm pretty happy with that weigh in. I've seen a lower weight this week, fat loss is just being masked by water weight/fluid retention in sore muscles from all the exercise I'm doing. (Oh my quads!) Also, pannier bags might, in fact, be the devil. They over weighted the back of my bike, put me off balance and I fell off.…

Hi everyone, was having trouble posting from my app again (this better work!) Checking in for the past days since Friday... I was a few hundred calories over on Fri and then a few hundred under for Sat, Sun and Monday. A total of 28,000 steps for the 4 days and 2 hours 10 mins on my Spin Bike. Spent the weekend at a…

Check in for yesterday Thursday 13th Food: Tracked and over Water: 3 litres Exercise: Rest day, just did 15 mins on the spin bike to keep my legs moving Steps: 5,067 I was so starving yesterday, probably because I had a huge calorie burn on Wednesday and ate way under my calories. I went over by 300 calories or so, but…

@CassieGetsFit2013 did you tell your Fitbit that you were doing a workout and have it track it specifically? Or did it automatically pick up walking? Also do you have MFP set for negative calorie adjustments based on your measured activity? If you didn't specifically tell it it was a workout, then the calorie burn could…

@lennoncpa I have a really budget food processor that mixed it okay. It came out smooth, I actually used canned chick peas even though that recipe is from a bag of dried ones lol. I couldn't be bothered soaking them etc until I knew the recipe was edible! I love fresh veggies I have no problem there; I like Pita bread too…

@CassieGetsFit2013 Putting my ex-Personal Trainer hat on for a few mins, I'd really like you to get checked out before you do any more exercise. If you presented to me as a client with that BP, I'd have to refer you for doctor's clearance before I could prescribe any exercise at all. Even walking. That said, your question…

@CassieGetsFit2013 That is such an odd reaction. Obviously medical professionals are best qualified to work it out, but it does seem linked to the chocolate. Is it one you hadn't had before? Any ingredients in it that you might have an allergy to? I don't always discount random reactions because I get bad migraines from…

@tryingagain5 I have actually never seen snow falling. I have seen snow a couple of times, but only a tiny amount. Barely enough to make a snowball! Here's a photo from my walk the other evening - looking out to Rangitoto Island from the East Coast Bays in Auckland.

@lennoncpa It's in metric but that's the basic recipe. I just played with it until it tasted nice. 😄
-
@bmeadows380 I make homemade bread too and it's so good I had to stop! The only time I can make it now is when I cycle to work and have a huge calorie burn so I can work it into my day. And then I have to get my kids to eat the rest of it! Good plan to portion and freeze it! I'd like to grumble about how I increased my WL…

@sleepymom5 I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I had a friend die of cancer just over a year ago, it's hard even when you know it's coming. Hugs.

Monday 10 Feb check in Food: logged and under (for now) Water: 3+ litres Exercise: 30 mins spin bike Steps: 9000 I'm just playing with my calorie goal a bit and seeing how I feel - I changed my goal from losing 500 grams per week to losing 1kg per week, and I'm tracking my exercise calories with my Galaxy watch so they're…

Check in for 9 Feb Tracked and under calories Water: 2 litres Exercise: 30 mins Spin bike and a 60 min beach walk Steps: 13,805 Had a busy weekend but I find I'm getting exhausted and my nerve pain is spiking mid-afternoon. I don't want to cut back on the exercise that I'm doing, so I might need to play with my calories…

I'm going to jump right in here... I've had issues with nerve pain and migraines and it has limited my exercise for several years. I've slowly been trying to teach my body that it can tolerate more (mid 2016 I had lost 160 lbs and was really fit, now I've gained 100 lbs back and lost that fitness due to the medical…

Thursday 6 Feb check in Food: Tracked Calories: Under Water: A lot. Exercise: Cycling - 16.5 km/ 10.25 miles in one ride. Steps: 5000. I generally had a pretty good day, I felt the difference between this ride and Tuesday's ride. Already able to cycle up the hills better! You really don't appreciate just how many hills…

Daily check in Wed 5 Feb. Track: Yes Calories: Under Water: 3+ Litres Exercise: 30 mins Spin Bike Steps: 8600 I wasn't sure how my legs were going to feel today after my outdoor cycle yesterday, but I'm not too bad. And I didn't set off a migraine or any neuralgia which is a huge win for me. I just did a gentle half hour…
