I gave in to my craving for Chinese tonight and last week I had KFC on Friday night! Stayed within my cals last week with the KFC but damn sure I haven't today given the Ben & Jerry's Core Sundae I had at the cinema earlier too! LOL Nothing wrong with a treat night, enjoy every mouthful :)

It's probably water retention or muscle gain from recent exercise :) It'll be gone again in no time! Tomorrow is a new day, forget about today :) x

How about not having those foods that you binge on in the house at all. Or would you go out of your way to get food to binge on? Ultimately you need to address whatever the issues are that are making you binge in the first place and there are so many supportive people on MFP to help you do that if you don't want to speak…

Thanks for all the encouragement guys :) It's nice to know I'm not the only one who gives in to my cravings :)
-
That is some amazing willpower right there! :)
-
I absolutely agree :)
-
Yes absolutely! I totally do this too :)

Never tell yourself "I can't eat that". Instead tell yourself "I could eat that if I wanted it but I'll most likely only feel guilty and I'd rather see a loss on the scales".

This almost made me cry. You should be so proud of what you've achieved. You look fantastic :)

Oh and another thing that I tend to do is space my meals out as much as possible throughout the day. I eat my breakfast when I get up which can be anytime between 7 and 10. I won't eat lunch until around 2 and then I eat dinner between 6 and 8. Once dinner is done I eat my sweet treat around 9 and make it last as long as…

When you say night time, what time do you mean? Is this after dinner, just before bed? I find I tend to think about food a lot during the evening too! On the really bad evenings when I open the fridge about 20 times just to see the same things there, I eventually tend to just go to bed! I find that helps. What will also…

Hiya :) I used this website: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ to calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) based on the info you gave above. Your BMR is the amount of calories your body would burn if you were in a coma ie. literally doing nothing so this is the minimum amount of calories you need to be eating daily.…

I wouldn't recommend chugging 6 litres in one day at all! Hahaha That's about 3 times the amount you need unless you're doing really intense exercise and sweating a bucket! I think if I drank all of my water in the morning I would personally find that I would be dehydrated again by the afternoon if I didn't drink more. I'm…

I know this feeling very well! Haha I'm doing the 30 Day Shred and it is a struggle most days to get the motivation to do it. Walking and swimming, no problem! But I do find there isn't much in the way of exercise that I actually enjoy either!

I completely stopped tracking sugars with MFP seeing as two pieces of fruit a day can put you over according to them! Haha It hasn't slowed me down at all. It's what I've been doing from day 1 and I've lost 25lbs so far :) I recently switched to the TDEE-20% method from 1200 cals a day so waiting for my body to realise…

Me, me, me, me :) I eat whatever I like as long as it's within my calories. I do keep an eye on my fats and sat fats and try to stick within them but if my calories say I can eat a chocolate bar and my fats don't.....the calories win! Haha :)
-
Have you counted calories before? For me personally, I think I would be capable now, after 4 months of calorie counting, to know what I can and can't eat and still lose weight and be healthy. I do continue to track however because it keeps me focused and because I don't find it monotonous as I know a lot of others do. If…

I love your idea of putting some music on instead of listening to Jillian, I think that would motivate me more! My first day was HARD!! But it definitely gets easier the more you do it :)
-
I think the general consensus is to log it under cardio as Circuit Training for 20 mins :)
-
I've been doing it recently. Started at the end of April and did it for 11 days straight and then missed a day and haven't been doing it everyday since but have still been doing it every other day or so as well as walking and swimming. I read yesterday that while doing a Podcast, Jillian was asked how often the 30DS should…

For me personally, it's the theory that makes the most sense to me as it seems to be based on actual fact. It doesn't speed up weight loss, in fact if anything it stabilises your body and makes you lose at a slow but steady rate. A way that I personally think is more likely to stick and the weight will stay off. It can be…

I'd like to see the answers to this too as I too need to up my protein as I don't get enough and was considering a daily protein shake as one option.

Basal Metabolic Rate and Total Daily Energy Expenditure :) BMR = The amount of calories your body would burn if you were literally in a coma ie. doing nothing. TDEE = The amount of calories your body will burn doing your everday activities ie. getting dressed, taking a shower etc. Hope that helps! :) x

This ^^^^ You look hot in that bikini!!! But if you're going to be uncomfortable or constantly worrying what people are thinking, pack the tankini :) Best to be able to relax and enjoy your trip! x

It definitely gets easier :) For me personally I find the first cardio the worst! After the squat and presses I'm totally out of breath and then doing 2 mins of jumping jacks and jump rope straight after is HARD! I am improving though and find that I only miss 30 seconds now of that first 2 mins of cardio. All of the other…

Whole milk, great source of protein too :)
-
Thank you bgmgreg, very good to know it's working for you! My exercise also isn't consistent enough to calculate my TDEE based on average exercise across a week! :)
-
Oh and yes, from the research I've done it is suggested that you recalculate TDEE for every 5lbs or so that you lose
-
Sedentary means pretty much doing nothing, so no exercise involved at all  It sounds like you're doing it exactly right already. With the numbers given up there (I'm assuming that's without 20% deducted), your TDEE at sedentary would be 1546 so on days where you do no exercise you could eat that amount and still be…

When I worked out my TDEE, I input my exercise as sedentary. That way on days when I don't exercise I eat the basic calories that the calculator suggests but on days when I do exercise I can input my exercise on to MFP and eat some of those calories back. I personally find that an easier way to do it than to guess what…
