10,000 calories a day seems like an astronomical amount to all of us but, in reality, at 900 lbs. it was probably giving him a caloric DEFICIT of around 2,600 - 4,400 calories per day. If the basic math of 14-16 calories per pound of body weight hold up at that extreme weight then his MAINTENANCE caloric needs per day…

No, seriously, if used properly they do work. They really really do. The key is portion control so that you only eat enough of said fat burning creams so as to remain within a proper caloric deficit.

Both you and your husband look like entirely different people in your before/after photos. Healthy parents - what a valuable gift for you both to give to your young son. Actually, that's pretty good advice regardless of how one may have read or mis-read the topic line of the original post.

Former competitive swimmer here. Yes, if done properly, swimming is really one of the best activities out there for getting fit. So many benefits, really. 1) low impact 2) great cardio if you really do push yourself hard enough to get your heart and lungs working. 3) If you do switch up to use all of the major strokes…

Unless you are using the TDEE -X% method then, yes, plan to eat back the exercise calories that you burn. You might consider, however, only looking at eating back between 50-75% of the calories that MFP tells you that you've "earned" by exercise. That way you can help account for any over-estimation of calories burned (MFP…
