Hey Craig, I'm back in the game after a year + on/off the program. 80+ pounds gone from my worst point at 350+. Ready to now make the goal of getting the next 50 pounds or so off of this frame.

It's all about the moving average and, if you can look at the scale readings as simply more data, then I think the daily weighing actually works out best. Here's another site that helps track that info... www.weightchart.com . I use that one and like to weigh in daily. Don't let yourself get discouraged about the days…

Skip the butter and go all Baja-style with Puerto Nuevo Langosta - Pacific spiney rock lobster flash fried in lard then served with an ample supply of homemade tortillas, Mexican rice, pico de gallo, refried beans and, of course, beer and tequila. Too many good memories of this combination on my ample cross-border surfing…

Any activity in a pool would be a great option to look at.

For me, the most striking change is the confidence, contentment and satisfaction that radiates from your expression in that final photo. Solid work and results. Congrats on the success and thanks for putting it all out here in MFP-land so that your story can inspire and encourage us all.

Bolded the operative part of the hypothesis there. Pretty much boils it all down to the real culprit being caloric excess rather than any random macro. Fats don't make you fat, protein doesn't make you fat, sugars don't make you fat, carbs don't make you fat. It is our excess consumption of any combination of these that is…

Your chart is not too far different than my own.... Started at around 350#'s, got down to 290 or so then back up to 330. Then got on MFP in Jan 2013 and got down to 275. Hit some speed bumps and back up to 310. Back on board for real this time in and got back on track in March of this year. Now at just a bit under 300 and…

Wow. Well done.

Solid work. Well done.

Great progress so far and good on you for taking this on in such a sensible manner. Similar boat here where I stand. Peak weight just under 350. Currently at 298 and slow and steady goals to get that down into the 200-210 range. Let's get this **** done. FR sent.

Great work, keep it up. On a similar path myself. Started out at just about 350, about to break into under 300. Goal set at somewhere in the 195 - 210 range

Solid work and well done. It's amazing, these seemingly simple milestones, aren't they? I remember riding a roller coaster last summer with my boys. Would not have been able to do that just 6 months prior. Keep up with your progress - such a wonderful gift for yourself and your family.

Can't figure out whether I should read this one as: A) A directive imploring total distain for all vegetables. or B) An advertisement suggesting that a diet rich in vegetables is one that could be a good natural replacement for ED drugs such as Cialis or Viagra.

1) Certainly good for you for a number of reasons. 2) Unfortunately, unless you are the one who is burning calories from squeezing the fish oil out of the fish I don't see it having any effects on one's metabolism.

Damn I love the forums some days. Just burned a few calories laughing loudly on that one.
