I am 4 months postpartum. I was losing before becoming pregnant, and now looking to get going again. I have about 20 pounds of baby weight to lose, then another around 90. Add me! Would love to have other ladies going through the same thing to do this with!

I used to have the same problem of my feet going numb, either all of my foot or the outer half, whenever I wore Nikes. Only Nike shoes did it, no matter how tight or loose the laces were, no matter what I was doing. The only thing that fixed it was changing shoe brands. Some shoes are made differently and just don't fit…

Chronic knee injuries here too. Torn cartilage in my left knee about 15-16 years ago, then last year strained the ACL, MCL, and LCL and tore the medial patellar tendon in the same knee. While in the ER for that particular injury, learned the previous injury was possibly worse than originally diagnosed as there seems to be…

Hi! RN here, been working night shifts for 5+ years in ICU/ER/med surg relief. The schedule can be very hard, especially with all the goodies/snack machine/quick snacks available that are not so healthy lol. However it is very rewarding, and with a little discipline and careful planning, it is possible to try to maintain a…

Registered nurse in ICU or ER 7p-7a (which usually means 6:30p-somewhere between 7:30-8:30a). Love my job, my sometimes crazy (and I do mean crazy sometimes lol) patients, love my coworkers. Currently working 5 (sometimes 6) shifts a week which is killing me at times (its a small ICU unit and I'm currently the only full…

Night shift RN (7p-7a) here too. I usually will make meals and package in individual servings on my day off, as well as snacks. I usually bring one real meal and at least 2 snacks, usually something like an apple with some cheese, a cucumber, celery, yogurt, etc. My hardest thing is trying to eat more than one or two meals…

28 and single.....lost my best friend/SO a little over a year ago so didn't want anyone for a while, but now think i *might* be ready to start looking.....but pretty ok being single right now.

My father used to tell me that if I didn't lose some weight I would never be able to find a guy who would want to be with me or marry me and things of that nature. Thanks Dad :/ He's better now but this was really hard to hear from a man who never weighed under maybe 250 until just recently (and now thinks he's the expert…

Oh yes this one for me too! Pretty much any movie with anything sad will have me sniffling

The Panhandle here! Actually from the town Panhandle, although I don't live there now but still in Texas and proud!

I'm an RN also. I work nights 7p-7a 4-5 nights a week in the ICU, ER, or Med-surg mostly. I agree one of the hardest things is eating properly. I usually take at least one of my days off to make meals and store them in individual serving size containers so I can easily take them to work. I also have trouble getting my…

Upping fat intake is a good idea. I also would suggest seeing a doctor. If laxatives are not helping and you feel like when you go to the bathroom it is "incomplete", you may have an impaction or bowel obstruction. If you are impacted laxatives are not going to help, and sometimes regular enemas will not help either. If…

Lose 100# (or as close to it as I can get) Be able to run around with my nieces/nephews without getting tired the first few minutes Work out at least 5 days a week Try to work less (I work on average 60-70 hours per week in 12-hour night shifts now) Be a better friend to those that are around me IRL

I'm so sorry girl! I can't believe they require that kind of grade. I went to a very competitive and tough nursing program and they didn't require that high of a GPA either. All I know is that if you stick with it and complete the program, even with a setback, it will be worth it. Good luck!

Plainview, TX.....about halfway between Amarillo and Lubbock. Grew up in Panhandle (yeah its a town). Gotta love the area of the Texas Panhandle......always windy, and constantly changing. We had snow in November, then 70's in December, now been down in the 30's for a few days but no snow.

Tall boots and some cute jeans.....maybe a little black dress too :)

Hi! I'm very new myself. I'm an RN myself and completely understand the "eat when you can" thing. I also work night shift which makes it even harder to keep from snacking and eat better. I've always been big even though I'm healthy, just looking to look and feel better. Looking for friends to help keep me motivated as well…

I'm in need of the same thing, would love to have friends who would help motivate me :)

I'm new too and would love to both give and get motivation

Hi Kayla! Just joined the site myself and am also needing someone to help keep me accountable for working out and keeping track of my food. Would love to be your friend on here. I'm 27 and a nurse and had a pretty difficult 2010. Have decided that with the new year wanting to make a new start. I'll send a friend request…
