  • I would suggest giving your body at least one day of rest per week if you're able to. If you don't you really increase your chance for injury and then you're forced to rest for an extended period of time and it can really set you back. Also I wouldn't suggest trying to lose more than 1-2 pounds per week (around 1 kg per…
  • A lot of Luke Bryan's stuff is good for working out. Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, and Eric Church also come to mind. I love country music but I stick to mostly rap when I'm running; I find country just isn't upbeat enough during those long workouts.
  • I just recently got back into running myself and I'm currently training for a half marathon. I second what the first reply said about the shoes and I will add that running socks make a huge difference as well. Make sure that the socks you get are not cotton! Cotton retains moisture and will give you blisters while running.…
  • Like you I started it earlier this year and had good results but lost my motivation. I just started it anew with Day 1 today and could also use some motivation to keep me going.
  • P90x is better if you want to build strength, Insanity has better cardio. I would suggest a hybrid schedule or give P90X a try and see if you enjoy their cardio workout you might appreciate them being "easier" after completing Insanity. You could always increase your intensity/reps during the P90x if you didn't think it…
  • Way to go! I lost 20 pounds with Power 90 and now I've begun P90X. It really does work if you push yourself to do your best.
  • Resistance bands or free weights, a yoga mat (optional yoga blocks), and I would recommend doing it on nice cushioned mats or carpet because of the plyometrics. Good shoes are also a must because some of the jumping is quite intense.
  • If you've done P90x Power 90 might be too easy for you. I found it a great intro to P90x because I was very out of shape; however if you're already in shape you would have to push yourself pretty hard to get a lot out of regular Power 90. The masters series might be more of a challenge for P90x grads though.
  • Power 90 is great if you feel you're not ready for P90x. I lost 20 pounds doing Power 90 and I'm on week 3 of P90x right now.
  • The fitness DVDs I use feel like a personal trainer and it's a one time investment.
  • I'm on day 36 of Power 90 right now and I love it so far. It's around $75 new on Amazon but there are other ways of obtaining beach body cheaper.
  • I work long hours as well, 8 AM to 8 PM including commute, my motivation comes from looking better and feeling better about myself. I also have a great support system at home that will encourage me to work out rather than watch TV, etc. If you can listen to music or an audiobook or even TV/ Movie while working out it might…
  • If you can work up the courage/afford it a group workout class might be a good way to meet people. Otherwise you could try an at home workout such as Power 90 or any of the Jillian Michaels DVDs.
  • I would recommend a visit to a doctor and perhaps consider talking to a therapist about why you feel the need to lose more weight. I'm not trying to make a joke here; you are already thin and need to up your daily calorie intake in order to function at full capacity without health problems.
  • Power 90 has been great for me so far.
