  • I have had three epidurals myself, first one worked the best, the last 2 were okay. I too have prolapsed discs, but they're holding off on doing surgery for me until I start losing disc space (turns out, after the epidurals and some babying, my discs actually start to drift back into place). I am new to strength training…

  • Have always had weight issues. Affected my anxiety, my confidence, and my overall well-being. After my father passed away, I had reached an all-time high in weight. Started one of those prepared meal plans (won't mention which) and lost 40 lbs, was doing great. Then after landing in the hospital for 2 days, found out that…
  • I love what you said about them being forgiving... I knew I had a problem when my elastic waist ones (which i prefer so that the crotch isn't down by my thighs!) were stretched to the limit to the point they left DENTS in my tummy. THAT was my truest wake-up call to get this ball rolling! You have a high-five coming from…
  • Walked around the hospital today in my scrubs (the same ones that had the elastic stretched to the max in December), and noticed that i am walking on the bottoms. Wondered if perhaps I had gotten shorter. Realized that I may need to buy a new size, the elastic waist keeps falling to the edge of my hips. Small victory, but…
  • Yes, we most certainly can. :) Not to sound needy, but I think hearing that from other people helps, because I truly think it is hardest to see with our own eyes. And some days, that makes it tough.

  • It's amazing to me that along with the obvious transformations in these success stories, if you look at a person's face and eyes, you can actually SEE the determination and happiness. Can't wait to join you guys in success!!!
  • Thank you for this. These photos are all incredible, really guys, you all look great. And so HAPPY! But this picture in particular and the one of the lady who went from 135 to 135 are so inspirational for those of us that feel different, but the scale isn't moving particularly fast.... I mean, that's a 3.5 lb fat loss??? I…
  • I have gotten good at the days where I go over my calories (never by much), and saying, "no worries, I can keep it on track" It's the knowing way ahead of time that it's going to be a bad day, and my mind telling me "there has to be a way to do this right". In this case, we're going to go over. We have plans to work out…
  • I guess it's llike weight watchers used to say - if you don't occaisionally give in to a craving, you'll do 10 things that will be far worse. The boyfriend keeps saying that it's our reward for the work we've done (40 lbs between the two of us). Thanks for the words, JoRocka - it's my brain that's getting in my way :)
  • This is an equally awesome post. All it takes is for someone to say something nice, and it reminds me that it's all worth it. You're awesome for reminding me, and the rest of us. :)
  • I've never posted here before, so please excuse if this is something you've already spoken about.... What do you guys find helps you for what I'm going to call the "planned binge"? Long story short, my bf and I have been following MFP for two solid months, and have been really on track for a solid 2 months. The biggest…
