  • Treadmill at least 3 days out of 5. I like the feeling of accomplishment when I'm done...I just need to get started.
  • Daily. Yes, it fluctuates, but at this point, I want to see every little bit -- if it goes down, then I feel like the effort was worth it; if it doesn't, then I look back and see where I can adjust to make it go down (it might be calories, or it might just be where I should have made a different/better choice, and know…
  • I have an almost 2YO with CP. It's pretty mild, afa motor issues go (weakness on one side, and some motor delays) but his speech is really affected, especially his expressive speech - he is pretty much nonverbal. We're hoping that with some intensive ST it will get better, but are trying to be realistic. He also has severe…
  • I'm torn. I try to hit close -- within 100-200 cals or so -- but If I don't get all the way there, so be it. I got into trouble by eating when i really wasn't hungry to start with, so I don't want to get in the habit of stuffing myself just because a phone app says I should be, kwim? If I have a lot of leftover calories,…
  • Definitely dinner. I can get away with "snacking" all day ( a yogurt here, some fruit an hour later, etc.) but dinner is my almost guaranteed sit-down/family meal.
  • Some is often excess fluid, but if you're suddenly restricting calories/exercising/etc. you're just shocking your body into waking up and burning off. That much that fast isn't usually sustainable, but pretty normal for a "jump start."
  • I would be really concerned that you're not going to feel "full." There's something about the bulk carbs provide. I don't thing going to *unrefined* products (like brown rice vs. white, whole wheat pasta, etc.) is bad. How about alternative grains like quinoa or amaranth that are also high in protein (quinoa actually is a…
  • I switched to coconut milk.
  • I'm Meg - a SAHM to 5. My "big" boys are 12 and 9, and my "little" boys are 3 and 5 mos. Princess DD holds court right in the middle, and is 6YO. My roadblock is they are all medically complicated, so I'm often eating hospital cafeteria food or even drive through. Oh yeah, and I'm AT the hospital/doctors 2-3 days/week…
  • If I lost 80 pounds I would be at my "ideal" weight, but I'm not positive that is a realistic goal. I'm aiming for 70-75, which puts me back at the weight I was three babies ago, and where I was definitely happy (with health and looks). We'll see what happens when I get there. My short-term goal is to lose 10% of my…
  • I eat mostly veg, and almost no dairy/eggs (my kids are allergic, and I'm not cooking four different meals). I didn't eat eggs or dairy for two years when my son was nursing (he is allergic and reacted if I ate them), and after a while, I didn't miss them. Plus, I don't have my gallbladder anymore so most egg/dairy laden…
