WOW! What kind of scale is it? I would be so mad!!! Glad you know now though! :)
-
Well, yeah, I know.. that makes sense ... but I didn't buy it for the nutritional content lol. :) I have my almonds, my macadamia nuts, my walnuts, my olive oil, my avocados etc for that! I eat a LOT of monos in a day lol. Basically I bought it because I can't stand the texture of peanut butter but I love the flavor. So I…

Well good I'm getting encouraged :) I know you can't spot reduce and that you have to change all over BF % to see visible fat differences, but it's also good to hear there are some specific things people have done that seemed to help! I think I'm on the right path then, it just seems to be so stubborn and I've had it for…

WOW! That's quite a difference! :) Way to go!

I can tell a difference!!!! Way to go!!! :)

Thanks and thanks again because the elliptical is my primary cardio as I have me at home now! :) so that's encouraging

I agree with everyone that says eat. I was eating 1200 to 1300 a day and then a few days I averaged more like 1500 to 1600 and I almost immediately dropped 2.5 pounds and it has stayed off for a few days now, so I'm actually reevaluating my calorie needs. 1300 is most likely under your bmr and that would be why you are…

Thats so encouraging, because I actually just ordered that to mix up my workouts a little! :)
-
Yay! What moves did you do?
-
Thanks! I just started lifting but have no idea which moves to do for the sides of the back
-
Thanks, I haven't quite been able to work up to a run yet.. But I'm working on that! :) I do think I want to take up yoga a few times a week, but there aren't any classes near me. Do you know of any good DVD's?

Lol!
-
Thanks! I totally did not realize I could move the bench into the squat rack!

You don't have to be diagnosed to know it causes problems for you. When I finally figured out that was the root of my problem, I did a lot of research and when I found out there is no cure, but only avoidance of gluten as treatment I decided to forgo testing just to get a diagnosis. So far so good. I'ts not a diet for me,…

Oh this made me laugh!!!! :D with all the acronyms that fly around this site you are probably thinking "Oh man, there's something else besides BMR and TDEE and NSV and TOM and ........?!?!?"

I'm lucky... I work out in a rehab center and the typical person in there is 70. There are a couple of younger men who hit the weights, and my only problem is they tend to HOG the equipment, like they set it up to do circuit training and then leave heavy weights on the rack, the only set of 15 lb dumbells at their bench,…

Also I agree that you need to get it out of the house. Throw it in the trash. If you think you'll dig it out of the trash because it's still in packaging (yes, seriously) then remove it from the packaging THEN throw it in the trash. I don't know if it was an emotional binge or just a craving binge, but both have sources.…
-
No don't juice all day! I think you will set yourself up for another binge that way. Your blood sugar needs to be maintained to avoid more cravings. Stick with your regular plan of action and get a little extra cardio tomorrow :)

LOL...I'm vitamin girl! I take a Multi vitamin, a multi mineral, Omega 3 fish oil, A potent B- complex, vitamin D3, Biotin, Chewable Vitamin C, CLA, probiotics, and CoQ10. I also get a b12 shot every few weeks prescribed by my doc. And this is a pared down regimen. I truly believe in vitamins, especially on a restricted…

My elliptical came with a HRM and I go by what the machine tells me. Now my machine is a pretty high end model and it's my freakin new best friend, so I do trust it. Mfp overestimates the number of calories for me by about 75 cals, but in the beginning it was over 100. All that being said, if you are at 26 mets.... Wow! I…

Thanks! Anyone else?

I actually meant, you are ACTIVE not lightly active :) Sorry! :) Honestly I agree with the person who says do a little experimenting, but as much as you are on your feet and you do get excercise on top of that, you are more active than the general population I would say.
-
The problem I have is that when I've done just as youve described... MFP has me eating 1200 cals a day, which is UNDER my BMR. :/ So is the program flawed or what am I doing wrong?
-
When did you start? Honestly 2 pounds is nothing to worry about, I've gone up by three in a day and I'm a shorty! It will come right back down and probably then some as long as you keep doing the right things :)
-
Oh my goodness... that sounds AMAZING :) I will have to try this sometime! Thank you!
-
You guys it's NOT BAD to weigh yourself daily if that's what works for you! :) Weighing weekly would kill my motivation because I figured "Hey, it's been a week so I should definitely show a loss" and that wasn't always the case. I weigh daily, but I don't get discouraged if it goes up a pound or two! It's all how much…
-
You are most definitely lightly active!
-
That sounds amazing!!! What kind of spices please? :)

oh yes! I LOVE swiss chard! It's fantastic! I cook it lots of different ways, sauteed plain in olive or coconut oil, I put it in soups, I stirfry it. I just use it like I would spinach and I especially love rainbow chard because it's so beautiful :) You can even eat it raw if you like. My Husband prefers cooked chard over…
