I am sorry, but while I admire your wish to help, you are wrong in your advice. there is ZERO evidence to prove that low fat diets are more successful in the long run. We need fat. We especially need more healthy fat. Fat is not bad.

Honestly, i think it depends on if you workout or not, I think heavy lifters need even more protein,, but I personally believe the 40c/30p/30f approach is a great place to start and see how it works :) don't worry if you go over on your protein and always try to get at least 1 gram per lb of body weight . I use egg white protein powder, both GNC in chocolate and Optimum nutrition in vanilla custard. Whey upsets my stomach as well. I love these and they are both really low in fat and carbs. They are also quite tasty :) They are kinda high in sodium though if youre watching that.

lol, glad its not just me! I've heard that its beneficial to mix up your sources of protein, but I don't know if there's any truth to that. If you are allowed to have it, you should try the GNC egg protein, it's delicious! If nothing else maybe for variety :) What brand do you use that doesn't make you uncomfortable?

Thank you for posting this! I am also gradually upping my cals, so this is very encouraging! I haven't seen a gain, I've actually seen a 2 lb loss, but I still have the huge fear in the back of my mind that my body is going to rebel against me for eating more!
