I did because my work will start charging people that don't get their biometrics done. It was the wakeup call I needed and it's free through our health plan. They also give us a healthy life coach that recommended this site and other things. They are also the ones that sent me to a specialist for blood sugar issues that I…

You can add me, I'm in Georgia and I'm happy to help motivate when I can! We will do this people!

Feel free to add me. I log everyday!

Fellow low carb here. I started in mid March and I'm down 30 lbs. It does work and I feel fantastic but you will catch some flack on this site. Feel free to friend me, my diary is open. It isn't perfect however... :blushing:

Mine has to be chips and salsa or chips and guac. I love it and I can't stop myself. We don't eat mexican food often because of the ole diet, but when we do.... Ah the cravings for those crispy chips and yummy salsa...

Shoes, frozen water bottle to roll your foot or feet on, maybe slow your pace, stretches. I had or have PF and since I got new shoes, stretched before and after and if I feel any pain, I use the water bottle, I haven't had any issues thank goodness. Horrible pain! I also think you have to work through some of it, but not…

I'm sure it's fine. Just make sure you pick back up. Life happens!

Make it a habit. Before I eat it, I log it. Period. You have to make time. This is a process and in order for it to work, you have to input the information. I know it's hard but it depends on how bad you want it. If you make the time to cook and eat, make the time to log it.

Progress is progress no matter how small. I think motivaton gets thrown around alot here. If you have to want it and you have to push yourself. I always tell myself that nobody can do this for me and I remind myself how bad I felt 30lbs ago. I think setting up habits are easier because you stick to them. Good luck and…

Not trying to be snarky here but how on earth are you not starving. 1200 isn't much and if you aren't eating your excercise calories back, you could be setting yourself up to fail. Personally I think it's a process when figuring out what works. For me if I eat more, I feel better and tend to lose more. Don't be afraid to…

I bought one and honestly I'm having trouble with it, but it shows less calorie burns than the machine or other ways I was measuring. I think these burns are much closer than what I'm actually burning. I'm going to return it and find one that is easier to use.

I'm on my own version of Atkins. I still eat fruit. I don't eat pounds of if, but if I want a banana or strawberries, I eat them. I think you can still be succesful doing Atkins if it works for you. I have blood sugar issues and it works for me. I don't miss bread or chips as I never really eat much of them. Cheese I can…

I run so I can have beer... I did cut way back but only during the week. I allow myself more on the weekends!

Great job lady! I hope your birthday was as wonderful as you! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!

Junk food and bad food choices are everywhere. You have to be the one to say no. You can't force her to change and buy healthy food. I still buy food for my girls and my husband that isn't healthy or considered junk. I just avoid it. Good luck!

Sorry I can't help you but I belive there is a Vegan group on here that would have more info.

Hmmm perhaps I'll open mine. I stay on the atkins plan for health reasons. Maybe I'll open it and see if hate messages pour in. Something tells me people don't care that much!

I got an HRM and I can't believe the difference in calorie burns... It made me sad but at least I know I have to push harder.
-
In for stiches running!
-
You need to count your calories, weigh your food and get a heart rate monitor to measure accurate calorie burns when you exercise. This will help you stay at a deficit and you will lose weight.
-
Please don't... As someone who was on the 1200 calorie diet and had to get an EKG this morning, I would suggest you treat your body right. Shortness of breath, hair falling out, swelling in my feet and legs and my heart beating out of my chest was a wake up call. I want to lose weight, I want to hit my goal, but I don't…

I wouldn't. The only exercise I log is my intense exercise. I don't even log my warm up and cool down laps. I don't consider things my body is used to doing as excercise.

I just started having this issue as well. I ruined my iphone ear buds I think from sweating... So I bought the Sony ones pictured above and I hate those. So In to see if anyone can point us in the right direction...

I'd just walk off... Great job on your loss! Rant incoming... I love how once you start to lose weight you become a topic of converstation at work... I was in a meeting about biometric clocks and my boss says well if you lose a bunch of weight like Amanda you can't clock in, so they don't work. Gee thanks for that.

OP so glad you posted this. I've been working out 6 to 7 days a week with a rest day thrown in there sometimes. Yesterday's workout was very difficult so I am unsure if I should rest or go back at it. Also you should be so proud of how long you can go. When I started I could barely run a mile! Great job!

I've been worried about this exact topic for weeks... I'm about 14lbs from my goal weight and then what?? I've lost this weight 100 times in my lifetime. Losing isn't the problem, it's keeping it off. I'm going to continue to read the responses but lately I've been reading about how people keep it off. I think I've changed…

This is great advice. The only thing I'd add, it's a process. It takes time. Also, you can do this!! Find something you love exercise wise and stick to it!
-
I'm sure that there is sicence somewhere that would back some of this up. That being said, I just don't know how a reality tv star could or would know these things and would we take advice from her? All in good fun OP.

I've lost almost 30lbs and I've only had a few people comment and those are the people that knew I was trying. I think people notice but don't comment and I think that's ok. I understand you wanting people to notice. It's nice when your efforts are noticed. It's like a reward for hard work and I get that. That being said,…

I would drink a ton of water, you may already be doing that. I have found if I over do it and then get right back on track, it takes 3-4 days of getting back at it and drinking a ton of water. Things usually start to even out. Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm fairly new at this and I'm still learning.
