  • after my ACL surgery I did a lot of leg lifts. At first just lifts, then added weight later. I mean a LOT of leg lifts. Squats with a ball behind my back, leaning on a wall. Bicycling. no jumps. But, he said I did a really good job injuring my knee too. So my excersizes were very basic to begin with.
  • Born and raised in the South, I raised my children to say 'yes Ma'am, no Ma'am.' It sounds a lot better than just 'no'. Of course, that is how I was raised. If I responded to an adult without saying 'Ma'am, or Sir' I was corrected. I can see it's old fashioned, but it's what feels right to me.
  • awesome advice!!! thank you all! I just can not express how excited I am!

  • Hi! I'm 5'1" also, and have a goal of 125. I was down to 115 several years ago, and found it an unhealthy weight to maintain. I think 125 would suit me a lot better. I have 20 pounds to lose, and it's going very slowly. I would love to have more friends on here for support. thanks!
  • Hungry Girl - to the Max. It's a comprehensive book with just about anything you could want. She is great at substituting low calorie items and adjusting recipes to make food healthier. I love that cookbook.
