Last year I did a half in May, the year before one in july. Not sure what i will do this coming year. I would like to start putting in some longer distances now, I havn't done anything over 10K since probably late October.

Had no intentions of running today, but when I got up and looked outside, I had to go. Not a breath of wind, blue skies, simply gorgeous for January. Whats going on? Lol So, I got ready and went out for 6K. Maybe still do some strength exercises later. When is winter?????

Nova Scotia!! :)

Kimertruns13.1 - it is crazy here too, not quite shorts and tee's, but I did get hot during my run....and I didn't wear my sunglasses so the sun was in my face on the way out. Hmmm...maybe I'll blame that on only getting 8K in instead of 10. hehe Have a great half!

So I ended up only going 8K, instead of 10K. Oh well, 8 is better than none, right? lol Ended up with an average pace of 6:04min/km. Thats not bad for me. lisalu - good for you planning a marathon. I have done 2 half-marathons, and just can't imagine a full. My husband has done a lot of them, but I figure a half is good…

I found it searching through iphone apps

It is hard to fit it in during the holidays but i didn't do too bad. I got a few runs in and I got a new bike trainer so I can now bike inside and have done a few spinerval workouts. Loving that!

This year I have run 866 miles, and I guess my goal for this year would be to just keep running, and try to beat that. If I could get 1000 miles for the year i would be pretty happy.

wow, great job!! you have done amazing

I have Nike+ as well, and I use RunKeeper. I have a few different ones on my iPhone...had to try them all! lol I love to keep track too

It has been awhile since I've checked in here! However, I am still running, as usual. I have not done a "long" run in a bit - that is anything over 10K. Last one was last month - 18K. I started using runkeeper almost one year ago (got my iPhone for Christmas last year) and have kept track of every run since then. To date I…

I can use more buddies on here as well. Add me if you like!
-
Very happy for you! I would just take it easy and don't worry about time for now. Just add to it gradually and run at a comfortable pace. I'm with the others on the C25K. WTG!
-
hello there and welcome!! I will add you :)

mikeyrp - sorry to hear about your grandad, wow 94...that is a good long life, but still hard to lose a loved one no matter how old. Great job on the 18 miler! Wow! I just got back from an awesome 5 miler, what a gorgeous day. Capris and a t-shirt! Ended up with a pace of 9:52 min/mi. Can it possibly be December next week?…
-
yup, I use the gels called Gu, usually 45 min into the run, and they say every 45 minutes after. I don't usually mind the first one but by the end of the half-marathon I never want to see another one. The first half I ever did I actually used gummy-bears. I wouldn't mind trying the sports beans the others were talking…

Just a short 5K for me today. Tonight I go to my strength/body toning class. Skemery - wtg on the 11 miler...and sounds like you have a good weekend planned :) bjbixler - how did the half marathon go?
-
That is great, what a feeling! Thats a great pace, and when the weather is good like that it makes you just feel even better :)

I absolutely love red wine. I have definitely heard that it is red wine that has the health benifits over white....but I am not sure why! Not much help am I? lol My favorites is probably Wolf Blass Shirz. Mmmmmmm

I did the dreaded TM run today.....and it wasn't "too bad". I use to only be able to get 40-45 minutes in on there....but today did 60 mins. I do like that you can control speed...hills...etc. I did an interval workout not too long ago, and its a great way to "make' yourself run a certain speed. I would like to do some…

-
Well now, I am very happy to report an 18K run for me on Monday!! This is long for me, so I was quite happy. I've been doing some longish runs lately, 14K, 16K....and happily made it to 18 on Monday. I went slow, it was cold and windy for the first 7K, then I turned and did the rest with a wonderful push. Yesterday, went…
