I DO add food to the database in grams. I'm just saying I think everyone should consider it since we don’t always have a "serving" size of a product every time. I think, for the most part, you should. If you put down that you wanted to lose a certain amount of weight per week, then you should try to stick to the number of calories allowed. Otherwise, you run the risk of forcing you body to lower it's metabolism when it thinks you are trying to starve it.

I think just including others like we are already doing seems to be a good way to get started. Other than that, make a commitment to keeping up with the log is a good initial goal. Lastly, try not to overdo it in the beginning or risk burn-out soon.

What a perfect group for me! I just turned 50 in November and am looking to lose 57 lbs.! I think it'll be easier than waiting until I am 60 to lose 60-70 lbs.!
