Adding to my summer reading list.

I think it's really sweet (not to mention sexy) when a guy pays for dates for the first month or two.... and as long as he wishes to past that point. Ideally, a guy would pay for dates all the time and the girl would take it upon herself to frequently surprise him with his favorite takeout or a great home-cooked meal...…

More fruits and vegetables - vegetables especially! Bell peppers, onions, romaine lettuce, kale, mushrooms, zucchini, squash, tomatoes (technically a fruit, I guess), asparagus, artichokes, carrots, purple potatoes, sprouts, spinach, corn, peas, yams, etc. - try to eat at least 5 different colors every day. I have no tips…

The salted chocolate caramels. The 3-packs of dark chocolate almond bars. And their chai tea mix.

Yikes, some of the replies you're getting are way off base (and others are totally right). Men will always love to look at women, and if they don't, then you don't really have a shot with those ones anyway. But that's besides the point. I suggest that you focus on working out right now (#1). This is beneficial in so…

I think that 1500 is very reasonable for most people. But not everyone. At 5'1" with the frame I have, 1500 is my maintenance mode. At one time not too long ago I was eating around 2,000 and managed to gain 20 lbs. in a relatively short period of time. Just one of the downfalls of being short with a small frame. Right now…

I think a lot of guys look more attractive as they get older. Based on physicality alone. ETA: Everyone is different though, just like some women end up looking better in their 30's and beyond than they did in their 20's.

My favorite low cal snacks include fresh shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, a bowl of cheerios with skim milk, and light smoothies.

You lost 20 years! (and your hair looks so much prettier longer btw.)

I'm 5'1" and eating 1100 - 1300 calories. I always eat back exercise calories, as well.

For me it's lunch. When and what I eat determines how much snacking I'll be doing before and after dinner. I've already mastered the art of eating a decent breakfast. The rest of the day, not so much.

That sounds awesome, especially on a cold morning. I would reduce the amount of brown sugar (actually I would only put in about a tablespoon of sugar and then add a pinch of truvia/stevia) and use skim milk. Super healthy. Have you tried different types of egg white omelets? I love mixing egg whites with bell pepper,…

As a fellow track and cross country champ, I should make it clear that *most* people cannot run a mile in 9 minutes. Most people cannot RUN a mile in 10-12 minutes either, let alone walk it. And VERY, VERY few of us can run (or walk, for that matter...) a mile in less than 4 and a half minutes. Someone should be…

I also 2nd this.

In a month I'm having jaw surgery and will be forced to drink only juices, smoothies, protein shakes, and whatever other liquid I can come up with for at least 3-4 weeks. Kinda looking forward to it. It's going to be challenging to find balance with just liquids. Friend request me if you want. I have nothing against juice…

It's a combination of equally important tips that keep me in the game. My favorites at the moment - 1. Drink green tea every morning 2. Use your anger/sadness/frustration to fuel your motivation instead of allowing it to fuel your appetite. 3. Log everything. 4. Incorporate fruits and vegetables into your meals as much as…

They are a good sugar substitute.

Sky Ferreira. "Everything is Embarrassing".

Regular cheerios (or generic) with skim milk and raisins = my favorite. Just try to avoid the "puffed" cereals, as they are high glycemic and will leave you hungry minutes later. Wheaties and its generic versions tend to keep me feeling full a little longer than many of the others.

This! Carbs are not the enemy. In fact, including enough *healthy* carbs in your day will be the difference between losing weight and gaining it all back in a month vs. losing weight and being able to sustain it easily.

I just read an article in Fitness Rx about this and everyone's comments are on the same track as well. Increase protein intake (egg white omelets, protein shakes, skinless chicken, etc. etc. etc....), let yourself eat back those exercise calories, drink green tea every morning (my personal tip that has worked for me in the…

. Also... hiking somewhere fun, to a waterfall maybe. Swimming. Boogie boarding. Kayaking. Cleaning (I love cleaning.). Yoga. Sledding. And almost any type of workout can be fun if you have a really great playlist to listen to.

I decided not to get a donut this morning.... even though it is National Donut Day.

I'm 5'1" and I aim for 1200-1350.

Hey everyone. 5'1" Current - 107 lbs. with 20% BF (according to BF% test done in doctor's office, not that handheld device they use at the gym) Goal - 100 lbs. Ultimate Goal - 97-98 lbs. with 16-17% BF

I would try to limit the sugary yogurt and granola. Some of them have surprisingly high amounts of added sugar. But don't worry about the sugar from fruit. Some say that "sugar is sugar", despite the source, but it's not quite that simple. If yogurt is a favorite snack for you, you can try getting low-sugar Greek yogurt…
