Some say within 45-60 minutes of waking up. But I think any time before noon is fine.

As others have said, just drink the tea. It's a great source of antioxidants and *may* help you lose weight, but only by helping you feel full. A great green tea or detox tea in the morning always sets my day off on the right track, and I usually don't feel as hungry as the hours pass by. I like put a couple tablespoons of…

5'1", petite frame, goal weight is around 98-100 lbs. with body fat percentage of around 17%. I'm getting close to that. Last time I got my BF% calculated, I had around 19% body fat.

I used to be able to run pretty fast for my cross country and track teams in high school, but that was quite a few years ago! I just started running again and I can do a 10-minute mile. I've got a little work to do to match my old times, but that's definitely one of my goals.

I second all the posts that suggest that it's likely a certain category of carbs, with gluten being most likely. But it could also be white flour, processed sugars, anything really.

I think we are "lucky" to have the knowledge and mindset that we do, you know what I mean? And as far as finding MFP, I feel very, very, very lucky. As far as getting in shape and being healthy goes.... I do have to work really hard! But I truly believe that the rule, "an object in motion stays in motion", applies…

Simply not true for everyone, especially for short women with super petite frames such as myself. These blanket statements are the one thing that annoys me on MFP. Everything else is amazing though. :flowerforyou:

Make sure you're getting enough protein every day. Increase your water intake (over 10 cups/day). And drink tea often.

Sesame seeds definitely. Salmon, tomatoes, and beverages that contain caffeine maybe. White flour, dairy (especially higher fat %) perhaps.

I've witnessed weird things happen to people who are active online daters. A friend of a friend searches online dating sites often, becomes attached to certain girls fairly quickly and by their first real date, they are telling each other "I love you". Also by this point, the girl is often calling multiple times in a row…

Really awesome shoes AND socks (that combination helps to avoid blisters). And comfy running shorts that don't irritate your skin.

Also very short. 5'1". :flowerforyou: My frame is super petite, so I am aiming for 97-100. (I've been at that weight before and you would never guess I weighed so low.)

Ouch. To the OP: Just let it motivate you and push you to be your *ultimate* self. I know what you mean about LA, especially in the trendier areas where you were probably visiting. I really love living near the area and use all the beauty as motivation. Yes, the stereotype of L.A. is not necessarily accurate, but just the…

Starting off my morning with green tea or some sort of detox tea makes a big difference actually. Getting enough sleep, drinking tons of water, and cutting off eating at 8:00 p.m. every night also make a really big difference for me.

Oh my god. Are you sure that first one's not a photo of an older, overweight relative? You went from looking 45+ to looking like you are not a day past 27! Way to go! Wow!

Eating no carbs and no sugar, or even extremely low carbs, is a great way to set yourself up for a rude and frustrating awakening once you are done losing the weight. It will be so easy to put it all back on as quickly or quicker than you lost it and your metabolism won't be a happy camper. A better idea would be to cut…

Just remind yourself that overall, you are still doing amazing. It only becomes a problem if you are eating over your goal by 500+ calories more than once or twice a week. I'm assuming you are still consuming far less net calories every week than you were before you started tracking. You'll be fine. :flowerforyou: I proved…

Interesting that you mention the need to hydrate. This didn't cross my mind after my long soak last night and I woke up feeling more dehydrated than I have in a long, long time. Thank you for posting this, as now I will remember to drink extra water after next time!

I am not entirely sure, but it is relaxing as heck!!! I just took a long Epsom salt bath last night and it put me into a state of "ahhhhhh" after a long day of taking tests. Super relaxing and you can get a bag for cheap at Target/Walmart/etc., so you don't have much to lose. Curious about other replies though.

Hardboiled eggs make a nice snack for around the house. A handful of raw nuts. Thinly sliced veggies with hummus. Make sure to use stevia as a sugar replacement instead of anything with aspartame. I've been drinking tons of diet coke lately and ordering my Starbucks "skinny" so that they use sugar-free syrup and I can tell…
