I am so glad this happens to others. I thought I was the only one! I have noticed that hunger comes and goes, so I try to remind myself that it will pass until I'm scheduled for my next meal.

I think a lot of us got our rude awakenings at the doctor’s office. I know I did. But let me tell you what a great feeling it was to go back there a year later, 75 lbs lighter and all labs within normal ranges. Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels, as I used to hear at WW, LoL. I’m not thin by any means but working…

I like the water idea. I usually have a diet drink (ginger ale or Coke) and/or herbal tea. There's something about a hot tea that kinda signals my brain that it's almost time for bed. Flossing and brushing your teeth also helps.

You should be proud of yourself for not giving up. One thing that's helped me is to just decide that you are never sticking your head in the sand again. That you'll check in here everyday no matter what and at least attempt to do some food logging, however imperfect. Staying connected here helps me, even over long periods…

I was on a five-day cruise in May and vowed to never take the elevator, just the stairs. Sometimes that meant walking up and down something like eight flights of stairs. But my husband and I stuck to plan. We also walked a ton at the ports we stopped in and on the ship. It's hard to avoid walking a ton on a cruise,…

Your most recent non-scale victories discussion is also fabulous and inspirational: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1275030/whats-your-most-recent-nsv#latest

I SO get what you're saying. I did WW on and off maybe 1995-2012. I think my mindset was that if I pay someone else the burden is kind of on them that I must lose weight. It's almost like I felt I was buying success. The problem is that it just comes down to me, and me alone. I've had the most success I've ever had here…

@cmriverside I long for the day when I'm doing that all the time! I KNOW I'm happier that way, but just screw up. Yes, a plan. I DID have one, but just kinda went nuts. One of the hilarious things on our little boat is that I do have a scale but there's no flat surface to put it on inside the cabin. When you lay it down on…

Ya know, I actually got sick of overeating and overdrinking, but it was a full 10 weeks of doing that. I actually started looking forward to the good feeling you get when you're running your life in a fairly disciplined way!

Oh man, at least you caught it at 19. Took me to 22, LOL! I am having a bit of a whoosh, so it's a psychological boost even though I know it doesn't really matter, and it's going to take me at least several months to get back to where I was before the summer. The positive attitude only comes from knowing I have two choices…

Oh, that makes me feel so much better - thanks!

SO inspiring!

@JulieAL1969 - thinking of you and sorry you're struggling. You have helped so many people here, including me. SO appreciate you and wishing the very best for you!
-
@JulieAL1969 I appreciate everything you've done so much and wish you all the best going forward!

Nice, nice, nice @JulieAL1969 - that was a big hurdle to overcome yesterday and you DID it! Holidays and social occasions are still really hard for me.
-
@jaime920 - Welcome! We have all been there with the frustration and throwing in the towel. I love this thread called "What's Your Most Recent NSV" - https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1275030/whats-your-most-recent-nsv#latest Very inspirational - and cutting down on alcohol for sure is an excellent NSV…

Am with @JulieAL1969 and @salleewins on the treats. We can't cut ALL the fun stuff out of our lives. I'm actually a bit hooked on those new Trader Joe's Girl Scout thin mint knockoffs - "Dark Chocolate Mint Coins." I measure out my daily allotment in a little bowl in the refrig, LOL. I enjoy every single one of those…

Been there for sure. About two years and 86 lbs (lost) ago I decided to never stick my head in the sand again. I've tried ignoring and, man, that does not work. I'm here every single day, logging and reading the messages, especially NSVs (love that). I've gone through two-month plateaus, and it's super frustrating, but I…

@JulieAL1969 - so true! I have those party/vacation habits firmly implanted in my brain. It's a new year and here's to moderation! Thanks for the good wishes!

Gotta take a long flight next week and was looking for something comfortable to wear. Found shirt/dress kinda thing at H&M. Tried on size 18 - nope. 16, nope, 14, nope. Size 12 - yep! Stunned. Bought some leggings to wear under it since it's slit up the side. I have never worn them and love them. It's a whole new world. Oh…

I'm in. Had quite the mediocre June and want to have a better July. Going to my summer boat home in Seattle next week and I tend to see this as a two-month long party/vacation, and that's kinda dumb. I need that Nomo app! Glad my fam is all here!
-
Holly s***, @Orphia - that is fantastic. Many congrats!
-
And chocolate, LOL!
-
Yep, that's exactly me. I can really get carried away. I'm moderating, I guess, but have gone back to the carefully measured 4 oz of wine every night. Just don't know what to think about that. Haven't had any social occasions lately, which is where I tend to go a little crazy, so haven't been drinking anymore than just my…

@NormInv - OMG, this was hilarious: "dayum i look so good and am so thin, whats one more drink gonna do." Thanks for sharing the saga! We're with ya!

I'm having problems too. Have done all the obvious stuff - deleted apps, logging out, logging back in, etc. It's syncing fine with Fitbit Connect and with phone, so I think it's an MFP issue.
-
FL grandma, 68 yrs old/young, have lost 86 lbs on MFP in two years. Weight loss has really slowed but need to lose another 30 or so. I'm not beating myself up and just trying to be persistent. I care far more about health than looks now. Am trying to avoid a Lark scooter for the rest of my life!
-
Good for you @Norminv! Very inspired by your success.
-
Thank you, @NovusDies, for keeping that list together. I've been with this group since January, so have heard about these resources before, but to have them gathered in one place is just excellent.

My Fitbit is getting loose! I'm going to have to go to a size small band. Agreed, it's a small thing but I'm kinda thrilled!
