This is exactly what I needed today!

All of it, with the exception of beets, brussel sprouts, and anything pork, ewww.

Potatoes are a daily thing for me.

Oh yes, I have RA, fibro, and osteoarthritis. I've had 1 total knee and my other knee is also bone on bone. My spine, neck are severely affected as well. My ankles have completely protonated and my mobility is very limited. My pain level is constant and exercise causes increased pain and swelling. I do what I can on my…

It's CICO and what calories you choose to eat is up to you, your needs and your individual tastes. I think I've tried every diet under the sun and for me the low carb diet was not sustainable. I do eat plenty of green, protein in the form of some meat, and also my lovely baked potato...every single day. I feel less hungry,…

No need for shame, 98% of people who lose weight gain it all back and more. As long as you're being mindful and starting over I call that something to be proud of! o:)

I feel uncomfortable if someone mentions weight loss because 1. It means they've been looking at my body 2. They noticed I was less fat and therefore they thought that I had needed to lose weight I'd think in modern society that people would have learned by now that that it's not cool to comment on someone's physical…

40 is the new 30, haven't you heard? Seriously, 40 is young and you can lose at any age. It's all about CICO, honest logging, and knowing that what's really hard is being overweight. You're so young yet that knowing this will change the entire course of your life.

"INK" by Jamin Winans. This is an independent film that is so unique and beautiful. I love this director! It's on amazon

You should be proud! Well done sir!

You are such a lovely person, very self aware, and your mindfulness will lead you to success in any endeavor. I think something that helps me is allowing some flexibility in my day. I'm 5'1, and I eat 1370 calories a day and I've been losing between 2 and 3 pounds a week. Granted I was much heavier than you so that also is…

I suggest making your diary open so that better suggestions can be offered. Do you add your exercise calories back in? Maybe too much sugar content in the fruit? You should be losing 1 to 2 pounds a week at 1300 a day, actually more with all the exercise you're doing. I don't weigh my food and use the MFP calorie content.…

2100 calories a day freaks you out? You must be tall as at my height, 5'1, 2000 would be maintenance. I'm also 68 so that's likely a factor as well. I can tell you this, there is no "screw it, eat and be happy". When you're morbidly obese there is no happy. It's a terrible sense of loss of self control and worry about the…

You look like a different woman! Wondering what your plan is like..calories counting? keto?

I always have "a touch of the fang" sometime after dinner and before bedtime so I save up enough calories to indulge. The sugar free jello cups have only 5 calories, a 100 calorie bag popcorn is also available, and the fiber brownies are only 90. I also make sugar free pudding using almond milk which has only 30 calories a…

You absolutely are transformed! WOW!
-
You're joking, right? 95 pounds?
-
When I stopped logging, I started regaining the pounds I'd lost...this time, I will continue to log.
-
Absolutely not. As others have said, this is a slippery slope that just about one could be fitted into some slot or another. How about too thin? Vision problems because of being more accident prone? Certain occupations? Driving on certain more dangerous highways, or weather conditions? Obesity is the one problem that is…

Quitting smoking is a huge victory and probably the most important thing anyone can do to support good health and longevity! You'll lose the weight but seriously, that you stopped smoking is win, win...all the way!

Between 1200 and 1470, but I have a LOT to lose and I'm only 5'. I also can't eat dairy, or leafy green salads, etc. because of blood thinners. I do deal with a lot of hunger and I'm planning to add a protein powder to almond milk and see if that helps.

I'll be 68 soon and I'm not going to give up either. Calorie information can now be easily attained, even for may restaurants. I also tend to eat the same foods frequently. You're doing great!

How does the OMAD work? Is it calorie based or limited?
-
See a doc..Tamiflu!

As others have mentioned, popcorn is my go to as it allows for both quantity and low calorie. Mr. Rednbacher even has a 100 calorie bag of kettle corn, both sweet and salty.

I'm vertically challenged too. 5'1 and it gave me a starting calorie goal of 1490 to lose 2 pounds a week. The fact that my starting weight is 340 is why it allows me that much. Now is not my first rodeo so I know that as I lose more it will change to 1200, but it never goes below that. I lost 118 pounds a few years ago…

No fan of scales because as you said weighing yourself obsessively may not be an accurate account of one's progress. I only weigh in once a week and it's great when the scales show a loss and I feel like I can trust the reading. I also have some heart failure so I take lasix for fluid retention and that alone can account…

As "Forever Slim" suggested the best hope for your mother may be weight loss surgery, but she has to want it first. It's not a miracle and ultimately involves the same long term commitment that losing weight without surgery requires. It can be a lifesaver for some people who think they can't control their eating. Most…

You look different in a good way, slimmer, happier, and definitely a success story!

Completely inappropriate and he sounds like a charming predator of a professor. I'd wager you're not the first 19 year old he's "liked". I agree that as we age the years can matter less, but at 19 I think anyone over 30 is probably more attracted to the youth than to the person. Why chooise to invest your energy, your…
