This recipe has made a smoothie lover out of me. http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/23539/strawberry-oatmeal-breakfast-smoothie It's worth waking up 5 minutes earlier to make, and with a good travel cup, you can take it with you to drink on your way to wherever.

My husband and I are huge RAVENS fans!!!! .... so there was definitely some celebratory indulgence! I didn't totally bomb last night, but I couldn't continue to eat like that and reach my goals. I've been super-good today and it feels great to be back on track. It's funny, I've been on MFP a month and today feels like "me"…

I'll add you. 30yo SAHM of 3 and really active on MFP. Anyone else here can send me a friend request also, but if you do so, please let me know this is where you saw me

[/quote] ^^^ Love this!

In my experience on MFP there are more women than men and more older men than younger. That might be why you're not getting a ton of invites (being a 21male). Maybe try the "find members" tab to find some people who have some things in common with you that would be a good fit for MFP friends.

I'll add you.

I really don't think the world would suffer without Katy Perry. Good luck to you!

I've always heard to measure at the widest point.

Most of the negative reviews I've read said that the Polar HRMs were great at first but after a few weeks of use they started losing their accuracy pretty quickly. Has anyone had theirs long enough to address this? I'm not sure I'm ready to drop 3-digits on something right now.

Thanks everybody! I've been reading about them before deciding if I want to buy. I like the idea of knowing more accurately how much I'm burning. Does the chest strap bother you? Seems like it would be uncomfortable or weird to get used to. And does it stay in place? I do a lot of Zumba and kickboxing.

Thanks. Anybody else have an opinion?
-
Plateau-beaters add me too! I could use some of that inspiration.

So glad to see this post. I'm in the SAME BOAT. I lost 10lbs relatively easily in about 3 weeks, then I started putting weight back on daily. I started following someone's advice to get off the scale, and that has helped my sanity a lot. I actually had to ask my husband to hide the scale. I'll weigh in for the first time…

This doesn't sound safe or sustainable. I'm not sure how it can be called "Ideal Weight" diet. I can't imagine anyone doing this and actually making it to their ideal weight.
-
Congratulations! What an accomplishment! That must be such a great feeling!
-
Great questions! I'm looking forward to reading everyone's responses!
-
I'll add you. My kids are 1, 4, and 5. I'd love some more Mama friends, too.
-
Thanks for posting your NSV. I'm having one of those nights where I feel like being lazy, but I know if I don't workout I'll be so mad at myself. Thanks for the additional reminder!

awwww

I'd love some more homeschooling MFP friends too. My little ones are 1, 4, and 5. We do Kindergarten, Preschool, and Baby School  I'm really active on MFP - always looking for more people to learn from and connect with.

I eat 6 times a day: Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, evening snack. I'm currently eating 1300-1700cals a day and burning 300-600 most days. I try to net right at 1200.

I use MFP like facebook. All of my friends don't have the exact same goals, but we're all moving in the same direction and have at least one major thing in common: we want to be healthy! Each day I look forward to logging my foods and exercise, and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that my MFP friends are so good…
-
I'm also 30, SAHM, with 3 kids  I'm really active on MFP - it has become my facebook replacement. Going to add you now.
-
Agreed!
-
I've been 29 for about a year and a half now. I'd love some more friends who are really active on MFP.

When I get home from being out somewhere, I don't go straight upstairs to change into my sweats because my jeans are comfortable again!
-
That's awesome! Thanks for posting! I have a physical on Monday... *fingers crossed*

I guess that's what's supposed to happen, but everyday isn't the same. Some days I do 30 minutes on the elliptical (about 375cal), some days I do a kickboxing class at the gym (about 700cal), and some days I rest (0cal). How does that work?
