  • I will be counting calories for the rest of my life. I have tried exercising before without counting calories and it didn't work for me. So even if I am not using MFP anymore I will still write my calories down to keep track. That's the only way I will be able to keep the weight off for good.
  • My limit is two pieces of pizza, whenever I treat myself to some, and I am still losing weight. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
  • Congratulations!! Keep it up!
  • Congrats on coming back! Good luck on your weight loss goals and you have a great day also!
  • I treat myself to a Diet Dr Pepper on the weekends.
  • Abby you are in the right place! I have been on here for three weeks now and I enjoy being a member. Actually I don't know why I didn't do this sooner.
  • Congrats on losing five pounds so far!
  • You could possibly be building muscle instead of burning fat. Muscle weighs more so it's not going to show that you have lost weight on the scale. The same thing has happened to me before. If your clothes are feeling a little loose then you're doing something right. Don't stress, it takes time to see results.
  • Just try to fit exercise in whenever you can. I try to get my workouts in during my lunch break, a walk after work, or I work out on the weekends when I am off. My schedule has to be flexible because I have kids and I just try to work exercise in whenever I can. Just go with what works for you.
  • Thanks for mentioning that you can log in you weight training. I was wondering also why it didn't show calories burned, I have been sticking to some kind of cardio exercise because I thought that was the only way that I could record actual calorie burn. Glad to know my squats, lunges, and arm curls count too!
  • When I wanted to have cake and ice cream for my son's birthday I just planned out my whole meal and cut portions down for breakfast and lunch so that I could still enjoy the day with my kids. If you want you can do some walking on the treadmill through the day to burn off some of the calories so that you won't go over your…
  • Hi Natalie, I'm a mom of two also. I became a Christian in September of 2009 and I am still continuing my journey! God put it on my heart to get serious about losing weight so here I am. I have been on here for a week and I do believe that this is the start of something good. I didn't know if I could deal with the 1200…
  • I know exactly what you are talking about. I have noticed calorie counts for certain foods that have their calorie counts on the package label still entered in wrong.
  • I like it...with huge pics and all! I am inspired by a couple of things you said. You said that God created us to be healthy and I really agree with that. He wants to bless us in so many ways, but if we don't live a healthy lifestyle I imagine it's a hinderance to the work He wants to do in us and through us. Also you said…
  • Your water consumption is how much plain water do you drink.
  • Sounds like you want to give up. Pray for the discipline you need to stay on track and continue your weight loss goals. Make it a point to think positive about what you need to do to lose weight and take it one day at a time. I have been discouraged and quit just to end up at square one again. Keep going.
  • Today's little victory for me is that my body has gotten used to the 1200 calorie limit. When I first started I felt like I was starving, but I must say that it has gotten easier. I am fixing dinner for me and my children and I don't feel extremely hungry. Yes, I do believe this is going to work out nice!
  • My suggested caloric intake according to MyFitnessPal is 1200 because I don't get a lot of activity through my job. I agreed to exercise 2x a week so I am just sticking with the plan that MFP gives me. Hope this helps!
  • I am also 33 years old and a single mother of two boys. I have lost weight and gained it back so many times, when it comes to keeping the weight off that I have lost I'm not too successful with that. Also I have to have willpower not to eat the foods that my kids eat. They're boys so they can take in more calories and burn…
  • I had good results from her 30 Day Shred and Burn Fat Boost Metabolism DVD's. I started at a weight of 189 and I went down to 162. I hit a plateu and stayed at 162 for awhile and I got discouraged. Eating got good and I didn't exercise as much so therefore I started gaining the weight back. The weight gain was my downfall,…
  • I'm a busy single mother of two boys. Between my job and my sons it's not easy to eat right and fit in exercise. I am new to a program like this and hopefully this will work for me, I have been trying to find the skinny me for a while now. I know she's in there somewhere!
  • I'm new here myself! I wish you luck on your journey, I know mine has been a rocky one. I can lose weight but it's hard for me to stay that way.
  • I am a newbie myself and I have struggled with my weight on and off for years! This is the first time I have done a program like this so I want to say congratulations on all the new people taking that first step! I'm looking for friends and support myself because I will definitely need it!
