I've just started on low carb to meet the other half of my goal *hardest half*. I feel incredible!! So I agree.

I agree! I have 66 more to go to reach my goal and because I run now it's coming off at a different pace. You're post is VERY encouraging. Thank you.

This is very true. My daughter's friend ~secretly~ told my daughter how good I look and how much weight I lost. My daughter told me as soon as her friend said that. I didn't hear it but told her friend how much I appreciated it. So even children notice :)

Please don't give up. Right now is the most critical. Your body is becoming acclimated to a new way of LIFE. If you stop, your body will flux you'll be happier but for only a moment. You'll want to do this again, as so many have. Keep educating yourself and find what works for you. EveryBODY is different. You can do…

Yep me too :)

Agreed! Peanut butter is a great protein sub. Try a small teaspoon every time you crave. It worked when I first started, and I was able to see results sooner.

Peanut butter helps with cravings and it will also help curb your appetite. It's a quick remedy but fresh fruit and veggies are always the better choice. I found after changing my diet months ago I quit having the cravings but when the holidays came around and I ate foods not so healthy I had cravings again. Now going back…

I'm thinner now than I was 20 years ago and steadily loosing, so no. I would look at what you're eating.

Welcome Nicole! The people here are incredible and if you get a chance check out the fun blogs - they're hilarious and a great way to pick you up on a bad day. You can do this!! You can add me if you'd like! :)

I agree with this advice too. I'm having to do this myself because people really get motivated. I'm glad though - makes me feel accomplished for their sake, but a little fear resides that I have to step it up a notch - so I am. You can too!

Hi Claire! Hey, at least you're back!!! You'll do good, just while you're putting yourself down do a physical activity - retrain your thinking. I was afraid I was going to look like my 'family genes' too, but you know what? I don't. I did, but not anymore! You are the only one who can change you - and it starts in the…

Way to go!! You're motivated! You can add me as a friend if you'd like :)

My 2 cents - While you're thinking negative, get on the treadmill, brisk walk, or just sit and stand vigorously (burns a lot by the way)! When we live in our heads we need to externalize our thoughts! Burn all that NEGATIVE energy. You will feel good after that! That is one thing out of the millions you can do. Then use…

I'm the same way, I'm very impatient! I started by reducing my calories. I work out 60 min. a day six days a week and weigh myself after every workout. I log everything, even how I feel that day. When logging my weight I only log my lost weight. If I drank beer or alcohol the night before I know my body is going to hold on…

I don't know if this will work for you, but I weigh myself daily after every workout and if my weight is below my last recorded one, I'll put it in there. I also commit 1 hour of cardio a day (currently its run/hike mode treadmill) to my weight loss. i've found that I'm not tempted as much when I have to work out. I take…
