I like to say that my husband eats like a kindergardener. The #1 thing I have to ask myself is "would a 5 year old eat this??" Hamburgers Hotdogs Chicken nuggets Tacos Pizza Peanut Butter and Jelly Pasta French Fries

Oh geez. My eyes just rolled out of my head. She never said that 1lb of fat is lighter than 1lb of muscle.

Haha, yep, not so much around here. I have a friend who recently broke down her cross-fit lifestyle budget for me, and it totalled about $400/month.

I live in the midwest, near Detroit, so it's very normal. I fully believe that lower income levels and obesity have a strong correlation.

Can't afford it. *End thought*

Yes, and I have a LOT to lose, so it should be easy, right?? Pffft :P Trying to accept that we are all different. I'm following my MFP recommendations, eating healthier, and working out every single day for 90 minutes, heavy sweat (alternating between circuit training on even days and running/elliptical on odd days). I've…

I turned 25 and realized that I only had 7 months until my husband and I planned to start TTC. I suppose it just hit me like a ton of bricks; I also realized I was once again the fattest person in every room. I felt so sluggish, gross, and unhappy with my body image. We also purchased health insurance and I landed in one…

I just turned 25 and am currently 287. Got lots to lose!! I go to the gym everyday and also log everyday. Always looking for new friends :)

What would I do? Tell him what you just told us.... ETA: I'd still drink whatever suited me and I know it wouldn't hurt my husband's feelings an ounce.
-
Nope. I never even think about germs. I also never get sick. Maybe there is a correlation, maybe there's not...but it definitely makes my life easier :P

I would be put off, yes, but it wouldn't completely stop me from pursuing an individual if they had grown as a person when I met them. I don't believe there is anything wrong with people who have high "numbers," but it never was my lifestyle choice. I believed in waiting until you were not only in love with a person but…

Nailed it!

I'd live at a chinese buffet, my only liquid intake would be milkshakes, breakfast would be half a dozen cream filled donuts, and I'd order a stuffed crust meat lovers pizza as my daily nightcap.

So true. I'd never, ever judge a friend over any type of mental health issues. It's a part of who they are and I'd love them all the more for sharing that part of themselves with me.

For a normal, healthy person, weightloss is a simple concept. The problem is that we live in a society that has complicated "food" and what we put into our bodies. Not only that, by we have our own shortcomings and addictions to deal with. I hate generalizations though, and people constantly telling you that "no, no you…

Agreed. Isn't the ideal BF 18%? I'm leaning toward typo or miscalculation. I'd set my goal at the higher number but then not worry about falling below my goal. It's really such a small difference.

People who only make themselves feel better by tearing others down. People trying to sabotage others' weightloss.

Sure, I can burn that much "walking" on a treadmill but only on a steep incline. I'd say the effort is about a 7 on a scale of 1-10 for me, but I also have quite a lot of weight to lose, so I burn calories easier than some. I definitely sweat (hair will be wet, sweat dripping on face), but it's less effort that some other…

The pain would stay with me forever. I don't think I could be with someone who spoke to me that way or treated me like a peice of meat; I am more than the sum of my parts. I am happy to know that my husband would continue to love me and be attracted to me as a person whether I looked like a model, manatee, martian, or my…

I love the nutrition peanut butter products from Planters! I have a lot of days where I need an extra boost just to get me even near my calorie goals, so that's one of my go-tos.
-
Everyone is different, so I don't think there are necessarily any "tracks" to be on! I've lost about 3lbs since January 1, and that's with going to the gym every single day. Most of my friends who have been working out less have lost double or more than me in the same amount of time.
-
Well, life would be a WHOLE lot easier if I were less intelligent and more attractive....this is a tough one. I'll stick with intelligence, final answer.

Oh god. The horror.

lol! Yep!

I do oven roasted cabbage, prepared in a similar fashion! So good.

My husband can not cook at all and I can guarantee you that he has no desire to ever learn how! If I don't feel like cooking, he grabs the jar of peanut butter and a spoon. Or a bowl of cereal. Or a microwaveable. Whatever, it doesn't bother me so I'm not sure why it bothers you. ETA: I grew up in a family where my…

Mine get perkier with weight loss. Gah, need to get back to a good place weight-wise! :P
-
The body odor thing. Gosh, I cannot BELIEVE the smells I smell at the gym. Yikes!
-
I guess it depends why your carbs are set a certain way. I've seen several people whose goal carb levels are set at 55% to start with!

Depending on how much you had to lose, it isn't horrible. About 4 years ago I lost 100lbs in 6 months.
